Security measures high after recent events
 

Today Genesis website was shut down with 120 people arrested in 19 countries, a group of hackers were selling eBay and other website logins and passwords. This explains why eBay has been on high alert with stricter security and immediate suspensions on new accounts. The scale of this fraud was immense and I am glad that they got caught, they made the honest sellers job harder to get back on eBay when unfairly suspended with a lifetime ban.

It explains a lot, eBay have been more sensitive to buyers complaints against sellers in case these fraudsters and their customers buying info from them are involved.

eBay is not stupid and were aware of that website and tightened up on everything.

Have you noticed the surveilLance with self checkout ?
In one supermarket,when you sign on with your card,then you place your handbag to the left of the scanner,there is a voice saying you have to scan the item first!!
Then the clerk will be alerted that you are a cheater,YOU ARE NOT SCANNING YOUR HANDBAG!!!!!!!!!!

I heard some people were recommending moving to california to get free stuff at shops

In some cities,WMT said if shoplifting get worse,it will have to close the stores !
Walgreen has already done so.

There has also been a huge increase with 5 day temporary pay suspensions and account under review on well established accounts on eBay, it seems they are looking under every rock now going back years.

What are you smoking buddy? They’ve always been suspending new accounts. You will have better chance opening Amazon seller account and appeal than trying to reinstate your new eBay account.

Amazon believe it or not is more... straight forward in this sense.

instead of last 4 digits of your SSN,they now want your full SSN so they can send you 1099 (if you have sold $600 and more )

I think it is going to get worse,in 2008 many homes were broken into,they dont wait till dark,they do it in daytime as homeowners are at work in the office,
Our local grocery store was robbed,2 couples come in ,one couple remove the tags of disposable diapers,baby food and the other placed them in the shopping cart and they just rolled them out of the store.
So now the shop can lock up the wheels of the shopping cart

Read the thread buddy it says that eBay are putting old established accounts under 5 day reviews and suspension of payments more frequently, not new accounts are being suspended.

If you misread a thread then stop smoking whatever you are on.

Someone just hacked into my Ebay account from a different city,same state,Ebay alerted me and I changed my password.

I can confirm eBay conducts annual reviews on high turnover sellers. They lock payouts but everything is always fine if you're a good seller dispatching on time etc
