Building a stealth app for eBay sellers
Hello, a while ago I started coding up a few Python scripts to help me better manage my multiple eBay accounts. I hated setting up virtual consoles, or setting up virtual profiles on my computers or w/e, managing cookies etc etc- the logging in and out process was slow and tedious it made me loathe to sell. I was wasting 30min to 1hr each day doing that ****. Plus creating multiple Mac users really killed my memory and made my computer stupid slow.
Anyway, since starting Ive been adding tweaks here and there. Right now my app manages my 12 accounts, no fear of linkage, and does all the major actions like revise listings (inventories), upload new listings, upload return labels, refund buyers/cancel orders, respond to cases/INRs, fetching order history, respond to/counter Best Offers, etc etc, basically all the major stuff that required me to log in and out of accounts at the time. To me its been a godsend and I spend less than 5mins a day doing the administrative stuff. And I can even use it when I'm on my phone, as opposed to before when basically any social event would render me totally unable to manage my business if need be.
Anyway, do you guys think there's any demand for something like this as a standalone product for ebay sellers? I dont really know the ebay/e-Commerce product landscape all too well, but my understanding is that most platforms are moreso based around optimizing listings and research rather than account management (let alone multiple accounts). Maybe that's because the stealth/multi account market is too niche to target? Or maybe dead altogether since the arrival of MP? Doesn't bother me either way as this is still a super useful tool for me and a cool project to show off if I ever want to change industries.
Anyway, what do you think? What kind of features would you guys want to see in an app like this? Let me know! If I end up going this route Id be happy to make a free version available at least for an initial launch to get some feedback etc. It doesn't have a user interface currently (I run it from MacOS terminal) but that could easily be built.
