eBay account registration down?
 

Has eBay account registration been down for anyone? I have tried registering both a personal ebay account and business account, but the USA website seems to have an issue.

When registering as a personal account the web page gets stuck in the loading circle in the middle. When trying to register as a business it has the loading circle for a moment and nothing changes. I have tried refreshing, changing IP service and using different browsers as well as different laptops and phones. All have the same issue. I can log into accounts I have, but it seems to be an issues with eBay servers when trying to create an account..

It's not down.

Good chance it's your IP. What is your source?

I have use residential xfninity, Verizon business, and t mobile home internet. All changing ip

they sound solid, the only time I've had the same issues was when using crappy IP's akin to Tor for some short term disposables where I didn't want to use a decent, or paid-for, source.

There's no mention of any outage on their own help sections either...

Clean broswer, no cookies, decent IP source...I'm struggling to think what it might be.

Yes it a head scratcher. I have successfully created buyer accounts in Canada and the UK, but I have an issue with the USA website. I have tried different browsers setups with different devices. Everything was fine a few days ago before the weekend. My only guess is some maintenance issue that is being resolved.

Pretty important to them, if it is an issue at their end they will surely be tackling it as we speak. Just keep trying I guess.

Thought it was just my setup as in my ip since I was using an mobile hotspot. Tried it yesterday and registered just fine, but then I registered and ended up getting suspended after a few minutes, can't call it. Perhaps it's my ip though.

I’m not sure what it’s causing it, but registration on other eBay sites like Canada, UK, Australia are fine. eBay registration seems to be broken. It seems to be no way to create a new account in the USA website because it never goes pass the loading screen when entering details such as first/last name, email, password.

Registration is down on other sites now aswell .com, .ca, .uk.
once clicking the registration button nothing happens. my guess is when so many accounts are made within a certain geographical location this happens. I have tried with plenty of different device and IPs to prevent linkage. Anyone think eBay may be up to something new?

Sounds like this may be an issue unique to you. Have you had a banned account recently?
