How long does VERO warnings stay on my account?
 

Hello,

I hope someone has some experience with it, because of course we don't work for Ebay and we don't know the system behind it.

I got a 3 day selling suspension on both of my accounts because of "VERO" (copyright problems).

How long will this be attached to my account till I'll be able to sell again? Don't want to waste my accounts :redface:

I mean it stays on the account forever, but does not impact you after I'd say 3 months of not getting another strike. At most I had a 7 day restriction before. After that it's a month, then you get the ban. I am sure the policy internally has changed overtime but if you keep your account clean everything should be fine. Getting a few strikes here and there is not going to kill your account. Depends on age of the account also.

There are plenty people I see who selling blank clothing with obvious copyright material. They have 20,000+ listings, it is practically impossible for them not to see copyright strikes by bots. They probably are okay because age of account, and spacing of the strikes.

The worry now is seeing that devil manual review. I hate that with a passion, and I'm sure it checks for these things.

That‘s very good to hear. I earned enough the last months, so I can let my two accounts „chill“ for the next three. I hope that it‘s fine by then. The VERO wave right now is pretty big!

I have not had any for a few years but I think it is longer than 3 months, wayback you could view these VERO metrics and I seem to remember it was about 6 months. As you know if you get another the suspensions get longer and are more damaging to the account as it takes a long time to get their sales back to where it was before.

Be careful indeed - don't repeat the activity that got you the strikes in the first place.

Well, thank you. I guess I‘ll find a way to dodge it!

Sadly I‘m mainly selling digital goods and the brands in this category are always kinda harsh in terms of VERO :/

3 day restriction means that you can still afford 3-4 such strikes until you get suspended or indefinitely restricted
