MC011 - eBay wanting tracking on items sold
 

Sold items require tracking, which is fine and can be done this week.

However - I don’t want to send them and get banned because they then hold the funds for 180 days, which has happened multiple times now.

What would you recommend?

They do not hold the funds for 180 days it will be returned in 60 days, if you want it released in earlier give them the tracking.

Due to MC011, it’s only £2k worth of sales BUT I don’t want to send £2k worth of items and then get sent down a rabbit hole of invoices, tracking numbers, proof of supplier etc.

Probably will and can happen. Refund customers and move on with a new account

Issue is you will 100% get the account closed if you dont send the items so your eally do need to get that posted and get the tracking added.

Yes you may get limited and yes documents may be needed but build the account for a few months and those risks will be very reduced.

The items only sold Saturday evening.

They’re computer accessories, nothing stupid and I have all items in hand.

If the items only sold on Saturday evening , you will have to wait until the orders have been delivered and then send the tracking numbers

If you sold the items SEND THEM! what's hard about that? I purchased a custom ps4 controller from some idiot and he never sent it. I filed a claim with ebay, they refunded me and I left him a negative feedback.

This happened to me in December and after providing the tracking info they asked for reciepts for all my purchases and them they banned my account after I sent reciepts for 70% of my items. As the other 30% were personal items that I've been sitting on for years and no longer have reciepts. I got my money about 90 days after suspension. However I also got scammed by a buyer while all this was going on so I got hit for $250. Because ebay refused to address the scam while my account was in revoked status. Hope it works out for you mate. Let us know what endea up happening.

I will just refund the buyers today, it’s easier and I will just start again.

you re asking for trouble selling valuable products on ebay. Now that your banned you cant message the buyers. Scammers dont like when the seller gets banned after they buy because they think you scammed them and they lie to get a refund
