Question about wifi and user accounts
 

When you don't sign out of user account ,
Does the wifi Internet connection stay on ?

Like if you leave eBay up and sign into another user account does the wifi stay on when you go the other user therefore eBay sees the ipchane??

I use hotspot so in-between switching I turn it off and turn it back on and reconnect.
But if I leave the eBay browser up in the other user account is it also connected to same IP?

I always usually close out of my browser but sometimes I forget

If you change user the other user should be off from the internet

signing off of the user account should not keep eb acct connected

easy test to do:

- start downloading something with one user account

- switch to the other user account (do not disconnect wifi)

- go back to the first user account and see if the file is still downloading and download bar had increase since you left it

I guess it is but never try myself

Usually it's ok, I've done this in the past, but for the same of eliminating any potential risks, I just finish my business on one account then completely log out of everything.

I tried this and the file continues to download. Damn.
I also connected to my open vpn proxy and went back to the other user account and it stays as proxy IP


This Sucks for me because my main account could be linked to my stealth Payoneer account in another country. How ever I've only left it signed in and the other proxy on probably 5 times max.

But then again I have speculated if ip matters that much to eBay in the past.
I feel like most linking is done with browser cookie info and I've also speculated eBay records ip mainly when it asks you to log in no when it's on idle

I mean technically if that stealth account gets suspended in the future i guess I'll know if they suspend my main account. I feel like they won't because my account is in a whole diff country,in my real details and solid/strong.

Most linking are not done by 1 or 2 things. It's a lot of things combined and that combination varies.

So that 1 off with your IP even if you logged in using the wrong IP and just that once, most likely you'll be fine.

We've all done that.

When I change user I close all the windows in the browser before switch to the other

btw if the "dormant" user account has no activity (like downloading or browsing pages) I guess no IP trace will be left... you might be good

Yea maybe!
I do know eBay has the alerts top right in red ,(like when a item sells or message received)

Other than that it was probably dormant :)

Generally the IP trace is left when first accessing the web page if left dormant it will not transmit any other identifying data to the web server unless you do more activity, when dormant no info is passed over.
