How Does ID Verification Actually Work
 

on Ebay side, does anybody know

For some reason if you use a UK driving license, the address on the DL has to match what is on the Ebay account. Not so sure of the passport

So what i want to know is does anybody know what parameter AI looks at and if a dodgy PP or DL can still be used?

you send in bogus ID it will be rejected

address on the DL indeed has to match , you can use passport instead but address will still be checked through credit report

That is correct the passport they can not check, the address against a name will be checked, one way around this is to put a name similar to those who actually live at the address and that should satisfy the AI check.

so if you put your passport but not registered on voters roll at an address, its probably might get suspended or will not go through?

I think based on what you have said the best way forward is actually use the Driving license but simply change address on the DL, as that means a new license is issued anyway he i recall

That may work OK in the UK, in the USA eBay can check the licenses in 45 of the 50 states so if they are altered they know.
