Payment Holds
 

Hi guys just wanted clarity

For you not to have no Holds at all on Managed Payment with a new account..

a: Is it automatically removed after 25 Transactions

OR

b: Do you have to wait the whole 3 Months before the holds come off

Also why are some holds 2weeks to 1 month and what is the money threshold they do it on

It can be taken off anytime

Usually its a couple of months. It can be removed a lot sooner though

Generally it seems pretty random

"New eBay sellers have not established a selling record yet and are therefore seen to be higher risk. To reduce this risk, new sellers are automatically subject to payment holds until achieving:

At least 90 days of selling experience
More than 25 transactions
More than $250 in sales"

Automatically removed yes. But can be removed sooner as well

James is it if you reach ANY of the THREE threasholds or you have to acheieve all

All 3 in theory but 99% of the time if it's not removed already by the time you hit the 90 day mark it will be removed

so then what does the "Please allow up to 5 days for this review to take place" DO?

Is that Ebay or Adyen doing their stuff?

I really dont understand how Ebay allow you onto their platform first to make sales and get in money that can run into thousands and then ask for ID, knowing that if you cant provide acceptable ID to them, the money is virtually "LOST" to them and they keep

So thats why i feel no way about continuosly going stealth as they are just the corporate version of your common Thief

But you must have receIved some of your sales proceeds at one time before they ask for ID??

How much sales $ and item qty until you hit the hold?

I have a different situation, Sales hit $500 on a new account, a week later got payment hold email.

Think about it like this, it's risk management for them. Some accounts get the hold now and some later depending on situation

I believe its like this, if you create a new account and everything passes, you will be put on the 5 day verification payment hold, then each payment will be held until delivery if you purchase labels on ebay for the first 90 days. If you manually enter tracking, they will hold the funds for 14 days.
Maybe if you have a history of shipping quickly and no customer complaints they could release the holds sooner than 90 days (immediate payment hold).

If your account has issues, such as VOIP phone, wise bank, credentials not matching, maybe an instant suspension or restriction.
