Need help with business bank account on a real ID account.
 

Hi all,

Been a member for so long and know my way around stealth and ran it with great success until I went to back to using my real ID on Amazon and eBay.
The key is don't lay your eggs in one basket.

Gave Amazon and eBay a break and went onto other selling avenues.

Now I want to sell back on eBay.

I need help with something.

I have my nieces eBay account, all real ID, on eBay new MP set up etc, it's a private limited account with business bank account.
She hasn't used the account since 2 and half years.


She doesn't want to sell anyone and is okay if I can use it.

The issue is, she doesn't want to money coming in her bank (business acc) anymore. She has closed the bank business account. The account is link with eBay at moment and haven't removed it.

Now I want to take over it, but need a business account back on the account to withdraw money.

What's are the options


1. Open a new business bank account on my name with same business name on company name with few changes like, instead of Limited will add Ltd

2. Open a limited company on my name and change it to that details ( don't really want to do this, I want to leave my neice company details incase it triggers eBay review)

3. Can open a business bank account with completely different business name to the one that's already on eBay

Does eBay check business account name? The MP system i don't have much experience with.



Any help with this will be appreciated.

Ebay doesn't see the bank name so you can just add your own bank

Issue will be the tax - so talk to an account RE that

So if I had a new bank account on my name which will be business account name.

Will that trigger eBay to review?

Everything else is same and nothing will change apart from the bank account

That's fine then just make sure to browse for a week.or 2 before adding the bank account

keep it simple , an inactive account is like a new account , use your own bank and start selling a little something

ebay will not allow you to sell significant volumes on this account for at least several months , if you try they will put you down like any new seller

I know have to start slow because of inactivity.

Issue is the bank account, because this is a business eBay account with private limited company details.

I wasn't sure about the bank account, I was under the impression that you need the same business account name as on eBay business register details

For example:

Business details are sunny limited
Bank account is sunny limited
eBay business registered sunny limited

If I use completely different bank account name which belongs to a different company, this is the issue

It's a common misconception these days.

Just to be clear ebay cannot see the name on the bank unless they try to withdraw from the bank.

Banking laws in the UK mean ebay simply cannot see the banks name

You can add any bank and you're good to go, like James said ebay can't see the bank name.

I've master stealth accounts ages go and still have them, all are inactive, haven't transferred them on MP yet.

Have to learn and research about MP on eBay.

Nowadays there are many other avenues to sell on..

Of course there are many avenues, just have to pick ones with high traffic for particular products.

That's true and I agree, it's all depends what type of products you have, if you have then spread out to like 6 or 7 platforms, every little counts and it does generate huge revenue 👍

In 2005 there was only eBay and Amazon, was good days back then 🙂

if it is a limited company ebay you may want to change ownership of the company to you

limited company is a dangerous entity as everything is checked online , if the company ceases to exist for example and you just use some other bank account it may easily get the ebay account suspended later

Hmm I understand this side of things to that's why I checking everything and researching about this, one of the main reason I not moving hastily and make errors

From my understanding:

Companies house show personal details of directors.
If I was to add myself to the company of directors, which will give me some control.

So can I add my business bank account from a different company.

If eBay can't see bank account names, does it matter what company name is on bank details.

it may be possible but has some risks , first banks are more strict on corporate accounts so that having payments come in for another company might become an issue

and the other problem is that all sales run in the name of the existing limited company on ebay and from next year ebay will be sending tax information for that company , an individual can claim they are selling privately but a company always sells commercially

Hmm get what you're saying.

I did think of changing the ownership of the company to my name but ask myself did I really have to do this. To much of trigger for a eBay review.
Also I already have a eBay account on my name with a private limited company

Then i thought about adding myself a additional company director on my niece company.

A business bank account is for so many different businesses avenues, the main source of my income is from different platforms, if I getting paid out from eBay in my business bank account, the deposits will be displayed has "eBay Inc"

Had along has you're telling the truth to the tax man and paying your taxes, i think that shouldn't be a problem.


Just thinking many factors around this.

Easy, just add a new bank account and if you can, make your first listing post and login from her computer and location, do this a few times before moving to your own home and computer,.

Obviously this is my paranoia kicking in but then again... I have almost never gotten suspended

I have her laptop and I use a mobile dongle which was always used for her eBay account only, and a mobile phone hotshot.

I had always advised my neice to use a business laptop separate from personal use.

Like yourself, I'm super careful, even for real ID accounts.
Always better be to safe than sorry. 👍👍

I thought she's using it with her home IP, so that's what I meant by location.

Yep, after learning the hard way when my real account was suspended, I learnt alot from stealth.

Once my real accounts was reinstated i carried on using the stealth practice by not using home IP, i use a different laptop, dongle & mobile for each real ID account. Never used home address, apart from ID check up.

Yep paranoia, I know 🙈

Paranoia is good when you are running a stealth account, it makes you careful and successful with running the account

Paranoia isn't a bad thing with stealth just be selective about what your being paranoid about :)
