Stealth account (wife's real account) but want to convert to business under my name?
 

Just some confusion about the process here. Yes I read the stealth guide but I'm reading some conflicting information online since Managed Payments rolled out.

I've been using my wife's account successfully using IP Burger, to keep it separate from my real account that has some permanent restrictions (but can still list in other categories). Now I want to convert my wife's account to a business account, but I will be the owner of the actual EIN/corporation and she will have nothing to do with it. I am simply just using her account.

When converting my wife's account using the real business information, and use a new business bank account, I am told that they now require the business owner's full information as well. Are they going to also require MY SS# and will I have problems if I provide it?

When you create the LLC have it as a dual member company with her as the principal member and shortly afterwards after eBay does it checks, remove her from the company and convert it to a single member LLC.

Yes pretty much. I’m just unsure if eBay requires MY personal information because I don’t want them to see a connection with my Primary eBay account (that has some permanent limits) and my wife’s account.

I mean, how are stealth accounts possible if eBay requires the SSN of the business owner as well? I guess that is something I’m confused about because I am reading they need the business owner’s information.

Can anyone help me with this? I think this is a simple but important question to know before I get a business license and convert my wife's personal account to a business account.

The way I suggested to do it will not require you to give your SSN to eBay, also you do not need a business license to convert to a business account, just a EIN number you can do online in your wife’s name primarily.

Maybe due to data protection they can’t use info like that to link ??
