retail arbitrage is not allowed-listing an item you do not have, take the customer money and order from ANOTHER RETAILER is not allowed.
Note _ANOTHER RETAILER.
just make sure your dealer has them in stock and ship promptly, else your buyer could file INR and get his money back while your dealer shipment is on its way/
There is an Ebay seller who took picture of used kitchen equipment and listed it on Ebay.
A restaurant bought it,it was shipped by truck, however there were some delays.
So the restaurant filed INR and won, then on Monday it arrived and the restaurant now got his money and the item as well.
The seller cried foul ,she should have called the trucking co after she lost the case to stop making delivery, her excuse is that it was weekend and she does not think she could get hold of any one-the trucker or the trucking co.
Which is not true, long distance trucking ,truckers can call 24/7 in case of emergency on the road and the employer would always have someone to answer the phone.
ANd if not weekend, she should call in the morning to have the driver not deliver but return the item back to the store.
If she did that, all she lost would be the shipping fee .
The restaurant now has the $3k equipment free .
This became a big discussion on Ebay seller forum and most sellers think Ebay should side with the seller ,then Ebay said they have a policy in case of INR,if tracking shows movement,it will extend the number of days of delivery, but I dont think too many of us are aware of this policy.
You can also let the buyer knows you are temporarily out of stock and will place an order with your dealer,if he cant wait, then you will cancel the transaction.
