| | | solefoodbk | 09-06-2023 07:01 PM | Feedback removal - Free returns I saw some misinformation about this topic few months ago. Just wanted to share this with everyone so they can use it as reference,
"Ep 252 || Seller Hub’s New Social Sharing Page" within that they talk about returns and Brian still maintained that if you offer a free return which the customer uses then they leave negative feedback you are allowed to have it removed. The return has to be completed though.
The problem with this policy is it's nowhere in the policy for us to see, and so agents that are uneducated (most of them) don't know it. I haven't had to get feedback removed in a while so not sure if you can call anymore with merchant support, if not I imagine chat and email will still work. If you reference the policy they have to remove the feedback if the system doesn't automatically do it. Using things like this should help because normal support has very low IQ. |

This pertains mostly to seasoned sellers and I take advantage of this every time. |

Re: Feedback removal - Free returns Never offered free returns, never will.
I find avoiding negs a simpler solution, something is wrong with your business if you need to use this facility regularly. |

So many times I've been extorted for feedback, it's time to take a stand against buyers. :boink: |

BTW, you're not keeping your money if you're getting the neg removed under this policy, you've refunded them and paid for it to be returned . :pound:
Are you absolutely sure you know what you're doing.... :) |

Buyer initiates a return and ebay instantly and without consulting the seller auto-generates a free returns label.
Pretty certain the poster above ain't getting negs removed as they claim...;) |

So clearly there is a reason for that. These things do matter, and really the rational basis I work from is, okay I have an upset buyer chances are they will get their money back one way or another, right? We know thats true. So if there is a situation where you have an upset customer why not at least keep your reputation intact?
I can sell on other marketplaces like Mercari, have 100+ feedback then get one single negative and spend the next 1-2 months having to respond to customers about this feedback. It's almost as if all my positives don't matter until the bad feedback ages or is removed. |

| butterbear | 09-12-2023 05:52 PM | Re: Feedback removal - Free returns All negative feedback only last a year, i usually just do it via the site, submit a request for a feedback removal. If it doesn't get removed i move on. For top rated seller, if a return is completed that feedback will be automatically removed, i think that's one of the benefit for being a top rated seller. |
| degsey69 | 09-12-2023 07:20 PM | Re: Feedback removal - Free returns I believe the feedback removal is for all sellers, not just for top rated ones. |
