Ebay restrictions

I created a new account in ebay and my listing was over, i was shipping products from aliexpress. Due to some bank account issue i wasnt able to refund a customer , and he reported me , now my account is resricted and i got a mail, This is what i got from ebay,

Following are the requirements, to appeal this restriction:

- All the orders needs to be successfully delivered to the buyer.

- Provide agreement copy of the warehouse located in US, as in the majority listings item location are from US

- Proof of Merchandise that you have listed in ebay. Also, we need an authorization letter from the brands, which states that you are authorized to sell its merchandise online.

·Invoices from suppliers showing supplier's name, contact information, date and invoice number. Invoices must be itemized and include pricing information per item.

·Receipts from retail stores and outlets that include store name, location and contact details.

·Proof of payment for invoices and/or receipts. Proof of payment can be in the form of confirmed wire transfers, credit card receipts, checks, credit card statements, or PayPal Transaction Detail statements.

* Subject to satisfaction of eBay.

What should i do now, as a dropshipper i dont have specific warehouse or any other documents which they are asking for , my concern is even if i delivery all the orders to the customers will ebay pay me my money back . or will it all end in vain ?

Re: Ebay restrictions

You are not dropshipping, you are engaging in retail arbitrage, you do not have the merchandise, when a customer gives you the money, you go to another retailer and ask them to ship the order for you.
Ebay does not allow retail arbitrage,it is asking you to prove you have the merchandise on hands, locations of US warehouse because you said it is being shipped from US and proof you have paid for the items.
Your account is gone, will you get your money from past sales, someone will come along and enlighten you.
You can also go to Ebay, look up retail arbitrage and see if they will give you back the money

how much is the monthly turnover of the account?

Re: Ebay restrictions

The account is 100% dead. Start another and do it properly, particularly about lying about item location.

Re: Ebay restrictions

The account is dead, retail arbitrage will always be found out, especially if shipping from China to other countries, and then not being able to refund the buyer because you do not have a credit card in the country in which you are selling into, is a recipe for disaster.

You need to rethink your selling methods, otherwise you will be a regular visitor here each time you lose an account.

Agreed. I would have no problem reporting and leaving negative feedback asap for a seller like this. It totally pi55es me off when I purchase from a seller who lies and says they have US stock or ships from the US, then i find they provide a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ tracking number or ship from Asia and I have to wait a month for delivery.

Re: Ebay restrictions

would you be upset if the item is shipped from WMT,COSTCO,SAM or .AMZN warehouse.
Some Ebay sellers do use AMZN (FBA).
They have AMZN manages their inventory

I don't purchase much through ebay but it happened to me about 6 years or so ago. Electrical wares, located in the UK. Came from China and had a US power lead with a cheap adapter which had been banned in the UK.

So I initiated a return and of course they couldn't provide a UK return label and wanted me to manually create a return to a forwarding address which I refused to do. Ebay refunded me in full and I simply bought a UK lead.

Then I realised I could get a fair bit of free electricals playing this game and helped myself to a few decent bits of chinese tat, even go a couple of those micro PC's which never go a miss.

They've wised up to this now and include legal leads so the freebies kinda dried up. I reckon it's still possible, just look for brand new 'local' sellers with the typical chinese stocklist. There's always a way to generate a seller supplied return label.

...and nope, I don't feel guilty. :)

Start again bud. Make sure the item location matches the actual item location.

Re: Ebay restrictions

the best business model is to actually use a US location , it costs more but people are ready to pay more for items shipped locally and there are no issues with wrong item location and local tracking is a great defence against non received item claims

That is using your Amazon FBA stock and shipping it to eBay customers.

C'mon, it's a fairly common issue aired on this forum.

Item location is a big reason why accounts are targeted, borne out by the many tracking number threads.

Whist the customer may be hoodwinked by a fast delivery, sales platforms aren't so easily fooled.

Then there's the issue of returns, dropship location scammers rarely have a system in place for that.

Between the attempts to hoodwink and scamming, there is the item location issue - you're right

Re: Ebay restrictions

if she still want to engage in retail arbitrage, she would have to find a retailer based in USA and AMZN is not a good one, some use WMT,COSTCO or Wayfair.
Depends on where she is,there could be local retailer or wholesaler selling AliExpress goods.
If a retailer ,ask for a discount.20% or more.
Most retailers would be happy to accommodate another retailer.
