DAC7 – Sales reporting from Ebay
 

Question for taxes.
DAC7 – Sales reporting from Ebay to tax authorities in Greece (European Union).
I want to I know that if Ebay will be send Sales Report to tax authorities.
I am private sellers which I have not declare VAT ID on Ebay but I have more than 30 transactions at year 2023.

On the Greek eBay do you have to give some kind of social security number in MP, if you have to there is a chance they may have to turn the info over the the tax man.

In the USA eBay has to issue a 1099 to the IRS if you exceed $600 in a year (Thanks Mr Biden) and they will look for that on your tax return.

In the UK it’s different, HMRC can and will look for sellers who are not business registered using a software program called Xenon, not only on eBay but across other platforms as well and if they are selling multiples of products or new products they will get fined 100% of what tax was owed.

Is this on going at the moment or is this to be rolled out in 2024? I sell used items on a personal account make around 6-7k a year. But some of my items have been the same product. Are they chasing after large sellers making big amounts or are they cracking down on everyone?

I wonder if ebay/amazon/etsy will report sales in accordance with DAC7 of recently closed stores that did not confirm the seller's data,

the same for active sellers who do not confirm this data and will be suspended?
