Need HELPP with ebay stealth 1099k
 

Currently useing a family members account as a stealth just passed the $600 and now asking for full SSN I did provide her actual last 4 when I started selling on it couple months ago. Its a well established oldd account this is the first time selling on it if that makes a difference....what are my options to have 1099K sent in a way I'm responsible for it?? I did some research and heard of others having issues with 1099K sent to SSN and not EIN recently want to make sure that is not a possibility.

give them your full SSN

He/she has to report 1099 $$ on her return,she can say she is really doing it for you,talk to your accountant

There is no tax accountant on this board,please consult your local tax preparer

before you use other people's ID to sell,make sure you get his approval and understand the consequences.
When Paypal was the only payment method on Ebay and it wants everyone's SSN,some sellers get very upset,why?
They are on SS disability and can only make so much money/month,the state government will look into their bank accounts and see they have more money coming in besides the SS disability check and will reduce their $$.
In your case,if your family or friend is on govt assistance,he should understand what could happen to him.Even those who receive regular SS payment,if they make too much money,they have to report and pay tax on it.
You are better off finding professional advice for yourself and your family/friend

is this friend or family member live in the same state as you?
The state also does sales tax audit.

Ive been perma banned tho....and it wont match up with the original last 4 I provided when I started selling...this doesn't sound like a good idea unless you know something I dont....has this worked for others? I obviously don't want to loose the account

That is our last resort plan to just keep it completely under her and come tax time just figure out what taxes are actually owed. do ppl really do that is it legal?...Sry i usually do my own taxes no accountant i appreciate the info

That's your family right? So just to keep it consistent and clean, talk to him about using his tax info.

You then keep a close eye on your sales EVERY month. Download the report on eBay and do your portion of the taxes, calculate how much you really make and ADD a little extra for potential errors.

Then you give the money and the form to your family member and have them submit it for you every year plus the money to cover the cost.

A little inconvenient, but for the sake of the bigger picture I believe this is the best way

you should begin reading up on ein and operating business info vs using family info

Upgrade to a bussiness eBay and add in the EIN

Make sure the EIN is registered as DBA the eBay name

This is what I want to do but I read that they are not issuing to EIN number unless its setup the right way and it defaults back to the SSN i just want to be 100% sure i set it up correctly....can i get away with just setting up a EIN or do I need a full LLC?

That was my original plan but I read about others having it sent to SSN not EIN i just wana be 100% sure tax info is in the EIN before i bother setting all that up...can i just setup a EIN or will i need a full LLC
