Forgot to change system clock
 

Hi there,

So I switch between UK and Ukraine EBay Account on my windows PC using different users.

The issue is, I had the UK time set on my PC rather than the Ukraine time and I had signed into the Ukraine eBay account.

Have I messed up? Is my account now flagged? What should I do?

Is there an easier solution to this where I don’t have to keep automatically changing the system clock as I feel like I’ll forget again at one point and make the same mistake.

I do not think it will matter, I have not heard of anyone on here who’s been associated with a suspended account due to the wrong time. Remember if your CMOS battery on the motherboard goes flat, you lose the date and you go back to an earlier time and date, that can be argued here, battery going flat and time not accurate.

Just change the location and clock for each user and by default it will keep it's own data via time.windows.com.

That said, I doubt it makes any difference at all.

Amazon more strict and can suspend account for any IP leak, eBay usually if they see new IP login send you phone vertification request.

Not sure how algorithm flag account, but i think the main reason is not connection,more like account performance.

I wonder what they would do if someone went on holiday to Australia for instance, I do not think it would flag so long as your using the same PC.

I think better before travel use VPN and login from laptop from home for the ~2 weeks.

When you go on holiday,login from same VPN IP and the browser from laptop.

Should be alright, although I try to keep my clock at UK time wherever I am in the world

The laptop usually adjusts to the location autimatically

You should be ok.

Just change the clock to the right area and pay attention to that from now on.

Can't be too careful nowadays
