does upgrading to business account trigger anything?

any experiences with this on US accounts? the account in question is my own, with legit info, but I had accounts suspended in my name on ebay a long time ago and I don't want to be linked to those old accounts so I am a bit nervous to try anything. it seems like business accounts are able to have shops and have better customer service?

They trigger higher limits, and no suspensions. Long as your address and IP are different then the suspended accs.

It seems that they are not too worried about old accounts when personal ones are transferred into a business one.

It triggers higher limits, plus there's listing fees, and also it seems you don't need to confirm your microdeposits when adding a bank

Better customer service is debatable.
It's different now compared to 15 years ago when we had our dedicated managers for high level power sellers.

Personally I like business accounts more than personal.

The only advantage to a private seller account is the free listings. If that's a deal breaker you're in the wrong business.

Like Amazon, their marketing, promotions etc and visibility is geared up very much towards businesses.
