Need Insights on eBay Account Suspension (MC999) - Linked to Past Account?
 

Hello Everyone,

I recently faced an issue with eBay where my account was suspended (MC999). I had a conversation with an eBay representative about this, and I'm trying to understand the possible reasons behind it.


Account Set - Up:
-New Phone Number
-New IP Address
-New Bank
-Corporation Name Used 3 years ago
-Corporation Address Used 3 years ago



Here's a brief overview of the chat:


- My account got suspended, and upon inquiry, the eBay rep mentioned it was a decision made by their team, not just an automated system.
- The rep insisted the suspension wasn't a mistake and mentioned it could be linked to various factors like the IP address, registered address, name, or phone number.
- They mentioned that they could see something in their system linking my account to other suspended accounts but couldn't provide specific details.


I kept trying to ask the rep if by name they meant the "business name" or the "primary account holder name". They refused to answer.

I'm reaching out to the community to understand better why my account could have been linked to others. What information does eBay see that could lead to such a decision? Has anyone else experienced something similar? Any insights or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated, as I'm looking to resolve this and start my business on eBay.


Also I used this corporation to make an account again, the reason being is because I have heard stories of people being able to make an account back even after suspension with the same corp info.

Secondly, does anyone know if the subnet is being tracked?

open personal first , upgrade to business later

new accounts get easily suspended , in most cases completely randomly

You may have got linked if the product you are selling is the same and you are using images and descriptions as previous listings you put up on the previous account,

I also had MC999 on all 3 of my business account, at the same time in December. They were all 2~3 months old with good sales/feedback. Not sure why it happened. Would love to get some explanation.

I think you need to look at your stealth setup as something has linked them, you need to go back to basics.
