The account received a message from eBay asking to add Steueridentifikationsnummer.

But can't provide it. Can anyone solve this problem?

Four days have passed. I haven't added any information yet. The account can still sell products and release funds normally.

The account will eventually get suspended as you have not answered their inquiry. I suggest that you stop selling and take your money when you can, as you can not provide a tax id number.

according other EU people reporting they will send reminder for 2-3 times then if you still dont provide they will block the payout,could be within weeks.

around a month/4 weeks.on the reminder emails they should give you deadline
to provide tax id later.

germany is very serious about taxes , if you are not a resident it is better to stay away from german accounts , with the new rules all accounts will be verified by the german tax authority finanzamt and each account having mismatched data will be suspended at some point

Agree on that too, if you have german account its better to pay tax and get tax number, really strict in germany

it is better not to play around with german accounts , if you feel you can not verify them just let them go and switch to different ones

german tax authority finanzamt can easily seize funds from account balances , for example they once did it on amazon with chinese accounts , just ordered amazon to mass freeze suspicious account right in the first days of january and seized all balances

More than 2 months have passed and nothing happened. eBay only send same emails asking for the number. I didn't do anything with it. Everything is fine with the account.

Well, they froze my funds. The account is fine and is able to keep selling, but they money is kept by ebay until I submit my tax id number. So, there's that...

It is a limitation that happens very frequently.
eBay is letting you sell the products but not sending the money...
I would recommend sending the document as soon as possible and suspending sales...
If your account is secretive, stop everything and try to send a false document (this can block the account and get your money in 3 months, or they accept it and you continue receiving the money)
