New user accounts or any other new accounts getting banned in January. Probably ban wave still ongoing.

Yep, I am waiting until mid Feb to create my new account. From Sept - Jan it's not wise to try and make a new account. Sure it can be done, but less risks and high chances you get time to age your account happen between Feb - Aug sweet zone.

whatever you can do,they can do better as they have more resources than individuals like you and I
As for which months are better,bots are programmed ,unless they have it in the programs of which months to be lenient,else it applies all year round.
Some months may hit certain conditions like seasonal shopping-Xmas,Mother day,Father day,some categories like electronics,precious metal,license software,weapons,drugs .
And some countries like one African country I would not name.

It is not about specific months, it is about the season, and what type of traffic the website is getting. People who never shop on eBay will in Nov to buy a gift, that is why the security is increased. There are those who do not respect risk and think they can take advantage of increase in sales, however they always likely will be short lived with a balance being held as end result.

If you have existing buyer accounts then you can also change those into seller art this time of year. I don't have problems when I do this.

I've always said that the ban waves last well into February.

Waking up to a whole list of removals and suspensions tells me this year isn't going to be any different.
