LLC for Ebay account and other issues. Help needed.
 

The situation is as follows: there is a working multi-member LLC with a partner. We have been conducting business separately from eBay for the past two months. The LLC is registered under my partner's address.

Objective: To list our product on eBay, as it is the best platform for selling refurbished laptops. Two main issues arise:

1) Registration on eBay in the USA. My name, SSN, and address are blacklisted on eBay. My partner's name and address are also on this list as he attempted to open an eBay account in another country a year ago and got banned during the creation of the first listing and a phone call with eBay, where they asked questions about what he wanted to sell, etc. Now he has moved to the USA and accidentally revealed his address to eBay so now his US address (LLC address) is linked to his banned Ebay account.

Is it possible to create an eBay account under our already established LLC, and if yes, what procedures need to be followed to be able to pass verification and ensure that the new account is not linked to our deactivated eBay accounts? It is crucial for us to keep our LLC and not create a new one specifically for eBay.

2)During the account verification stage, they ask what we want to sell, and I understand that if we truthfully say we want to sell used laptops, there is a high chance of an immediate ban during the opening stage. Is this true, and what is the best approach to discussing this on eBay? Perhaps it is advisable to start selling small items at cost to build trust with eBay and gather some reviews before gradually adding used electronics to eBay safely.

3) Is it possible to unlock my partner's account? Calls to eBay have been unsuccessful, but is it worth trying another 10 times? After all, his account essentially hasn't started selling, and the purpose of unlocking it is just to close it immediately and create a new account here in the United States.

We want a long-term account on eBay to be able to meet any verification requests from eBay in the future.

Used laptops are good to sell,why should Ebay ban you for selling laptops?
I dont think Ebay wil unrestrict your Ebay account so you can close it,it will remain closed,did you look for it ?
why cant you change the address of your LLC

You dont need business advisors outside Ebay to advise you how to sell used electronics,they probably know less than we do ,the rough and tumble world of Ebay selling..
If you have them in stock,item as described and ship in timely manner,no problem selling on Ebay.
But why are you both suspended?

OP, read through the forum and make your informed decision - electronics are risky to sell right away. If you want big business advice, time for a consultant $

I've been suspended for VERO a couple of years ago and my partner is suspended at the time of opening seller account after the short interview with Ebay they informed that the account is risky for Ebay community bla bla bla. I thing the best bet is to reinstate that account, but have no clue if we have a chance. My VERO account doesn't have that chance.
