Ebay restricted my account - need help
 

Hey guys, I am a long time reader and learned a lot from this forum. I would appreciate if somebody could offer a piece of advice on this.

My account got restricted because they ''noticed activity that we believe is a risk to our community''

Selling privileges are removed and they are withholding my pending payments.

They're asking for 3 things, ID, a credit card statement and documentation showing that I purchased the items recently listed for sale on eBay.

I do not have this documentation and don't know how to proceed. The account is more than 5 years old and has never been asked for a proof of purchase.

What to do in this situation?

Is it a stealth account?
What did you sell?
and how much?
if it is something you have for a long time,then tell them there is no receipt?
or if it is a garage sale find,then create a receipt

Appreciate your response. I sold mostly PC equipment and sold a couple k every month for an extended period of time.

I created and sent the receipt but they didn't accept it and asked for the receipt again, so not sure what to do.

I’m going through the exact same process. My account is 2 years old. I have been in this situation before with my real account and passed the requirements but this time my account is stealth so be first time trying to pass.

Don’t create another receipt. Your need to get creative with invoices. The pc equipment your selling are they branded or none branded?

on real account you send real docs , if you do not have receipts you can use templates and make some for you , it does not work with high amounts though

It's branded equipment. I sent an invoice from a major online retailer but that didn't work. What worked for you?

What worked for me and this was 2 years ago was an invoice from a genuine company who sells the goods I sell. So the address of the company, phone, company name, product name, qty, vat, personal info matching eBay and Visa card on my eBay account on the invoice as well.

I’m just waiting on ID and then can submit everything. Fingers crossed it will pass like it did back then.

Yeah its been a killer recently loosing accounts left right and centre i bet you its all AI flagging accounts
