Need urgent help with my UK eb account
 

Ebay are not helping me, they are saying I am causing the issue which i'll explain now.

I have a BIN auction for a product ive sold 164 items of, during black friday i offered 5% off to all watchers so, back in november 2023!

Anyway, we are now in February and I can see that ebay has AUTOMATICALLY sent offers to 1 or 2 ebay members every couple of days up until now and its still ongoing. Ie.. when one offer finishes, ebay automatically send offers to 1 or 2 more!

Im in desperate need to modify the auction description and remove a postage option that people keep using that I don't offer. Im unable to edit the auction while offers are pending.

Ebay say there is no way they can cancel the offers and no way I can. They say wait till the 2 days has finished and then edit, I cannot do that! because as soon as the offers expire ebay auto send the offers to more people! They claim the system is not sending the offers and that I am doing it. Wtf? Sure, Im doing it and then contacting them to stop it and then sending more! makes no sense. They just wont admit it and I do not want to close the listing as it will cause a sales crash.

Just close the listing and relist as similar item and edit appropriately.

if you can not end the listing you will have to wait until the problems stop on their own

Is the account you have a business account seems like a promotion eBay have given you to increase sales.

I had a promotion on a business account years ago where buyers get a percentage off the final price I didn’t understand it at first but after speaking to eBay they told me I keep the full price but buyers get a discount at checkout and it’s supposed to increase sales which it did.

My advice is have a look in your promotions tab to see if you do have any promotions and if you can cancel them normally they run to a certain date and time tho.

Its a personal account, where abouts exactly do i find the promotion tab?

Unless you have a shop then there's no promotions available at all. Even then not all promotions are available to private sellers, not the ones Samspalace and I are thinking of I suspect.

EDIT: whatever you can access will be under 'Marketing' on the headings at the top of the page.

Guys, I do not have a shop nor is it a business account. Its purely a personal account. You can add promotions to personal account, you can even now mark away on holiday on personal accounts..etc.

For the record, problem is solved now. On the sent offers page (promotions) an option appeared that allowed me to turn off the promotion. This option did NOT appear the previous times i went to this particular page, it only appeared randomly after going to the page 15 to 20 times!

No you can't. ('send an offer' is not a promotion)

Whats the difference?

Send an offer can be ongoing ie.. promotion in the exact same way.
