| Yes, honestly I used to only sell on eBay. I've had issues with them since 2020 and it's forced me to sell on other marketplaces. Due to all this I've basically perfected my method of selling. Whenever I start a new account on eBay I get sales extremely fast. For me, it is hard to just stop making money when it's basically handed to you.
I realize after enough mistakes that volume on newer accounts with managed payments is the biggest factor you face in triggering a review. The only control method you have in stopping it is vacation mode or ending listings. I know some things will sell faster than others, however you still get unexpected sales from time to time.
Personally I think the best approach is to baby the account for about 6 months, and use the holiday season to start growing it stronger. The 90 day window is by far the biggest hurdle on a new account, but even an aged account that hasn't been active is treated the same to a degree. If you can pass at least one holiday season after having used the account for over 6 months with steady sales, chances of a random suspension is low. Assuming you remain disciplined throughout the process. |
