Has anyone recently had this message when trying to do a payout:
"Your payouts are on hold while we conclude a periodic performance review. We will disburse the funds once the review is complete. During this time, you can still continue to sell."
I have paused all listings until this this 'hopefully' goes away.
What is everyones experience with this? Did you end up with a suspension, limitation, or did it just clear? |
| james_112233 | 03-30-2024 05:14 AM | Re: Periodic performace review Just carry on selling. They will carry out a soft credit check and make sure everything is in order with the listings and your seller metrics etc. A real person will glance over your account.
I've had this many times now. On one account where I sell items under £10 I was told to use tracking where I explained it isn't possible due to the low value and they said that's fine. And other accs with high value and valid tracking they didn't send a message or anything simply removed the red banner after a week. |
| yobar | 03-30-2024 07:03 AM | Re: Periodic performace review continues to sell, generally what could have happened is that the ebay argorism in its usual review observes something strange and simply an agent will review it, in this case if everything you do is done well you can wait from 3 to seven days to go back and delete the message.
You can continue selling but if it is your only account and you don't have many resources, stop and wait. |
Re: Periodic performace review continue to sell but just nothing high value where you need funds ultra quickly |

of course you need to stop most of the sales and just do some low volume sales for now. this is because a part of reviews always ends in suspensions or restrictions and it is better not to have a large balance frozen |

| Karlis96 | 03-30-2024 02:53 PM | Re: Periodic performace review Last time in this year march, i have sold item. Money was on 30 days hold.
At day 29 they put me this performance check. Next day my account got hit with MC011 where they asked
- credit card statement
- any document from merchandise ( invoice or receipt )
I have provaide all documents but they never opened account.
So be carefull this time of year when they give reactivate messages, performance checks, and bans !
Now it is not predicted.
But normaly it should end with nothing. Red banner will disapears and all payouts will back to normal. |

| solefoodbk | 03-30-2024 10:55 PM | Re: Periodic performace review All I know is when I got this on an aged account, I continued to sell no problem. However if it's a new account and you get this, increased sales or claims are a red flag.
I don't think there is a best answer because each action has positives/negatives. I used to think putting it in vacation mode was smart, but really you should know something is triggering that review. It's not just random, so making sure you fix whatever that is, is key.
A human reviewing your account seeing you put it in vacation mode would automatically make them wonder why. If you had never sold on eBay, you'd probably never suspect these would get you suspended, so you wouldn't put your account in vacation mode. |

Please keep us up to date on that, I'm interested to know how you're doing. |

Please keep us up to date on that, I'm interested to know how you're doing. | I have paused sales for now. I’ll keep you update - I may list another 1 or 2 tomorrow.
It’s a stealth created in 2019, had some sales then I forgot about this account. Over the last month it has restarted, I sell branded fitness watches. Moderate risk items that range from £40-80 and I have done around £2000 in sales in just over a month. Let’s see how it goes. Maybe I’ll sell another 2-3 over the next day or so if the account isn’t completely frozen. Fingers crossed, eBay is the pain of my life. |
| marcusj22 | 04-06-2024 01:51 AM | Re: Periodic performace review Ahh. MC011 restriction after a few days. Only did £2000 in sales. Account is 5 years old and had a selling limit of £500,000 or 50,000 items monthly.
eBay is so **** these days... |
