MC011 uploaded documents passed now they are saying account linked ?
 

Hey guys I have a LLC that I have been using since 2017 over 5 years.

Everything was good until a couple days ago, got a MC011 uploaded my ID bank statement and invoices.

They asked for my LLC articles and that passed as well, but at the same time they wrote me this

Your account was found to be linked by similar contact information and / or financial information and / or account behavior to:

discountvinylrecords

After completing our additional review, eBay has decided to uphold its previous request for the resolution of the above related suspended account and have determined that the link between the two accounts is sufficient.


I am the only one in the house that is using eBay, I make sure not to give me WiFi to anybody.

I have no idea what they are talking about. I have never sold any records or had any account.

I was doing about 40k a month in sales. 100% feedback, 5k feedback. Top Rated.

Any ideas of what happened ? or any way to fix this ?

it is likely that you will not be reinstated , you can try to appeal again and if this fails you can try contacting ebay on their postal address but in general such suspensions usually remain indefinitely

regarding account linkage it is possible that the other account had same zip code or street , on ebay you never know , for example I was once suspended because my ebay user id was similar to another ebay id which was suspended , there was no other link whatsoever

the main mistake you had was making 40K per month , this should be split between multiple accounts registered to different people because 40K is considered to be a huge account , this means more and deeper checks because ebay work with adyen now and adyen have merchant tiers , the higher the tier the more checks , it is all stated in their documentation

and additionally MC011 usually does not come just because of linkage , could it be that you had volume spikes recently?

In this case, write directly to eBay demanding a detailed explanation of what happened to your account. If you are sure that you did not link different eBay accounts with that account, ask them to explain that...
On the other hand, I recommend that you get between 4 to 5 additional accounts to manage your income volume.

My case was sales spike, 2 item not receive cases.

They reinstate account with low limits, i have to wait 60 days for higher limit reqestion

Little bit worrying this when they mention financial info. I thought they couldn’t see ids as that’s sent to adyan and it would be data protection ? I haven’t been linked in passed with accounts but always used same name & id on all my diff bank accounts

Edit. Just re read that you sent in all your info to them so that’s how they’ve been able to do additional searches. I always thought the bots couldn’t use managed payments to link ! When I get mc11 I never send in anything as they’ll only use it against you! Treat them like the police always no comment.

Did you provide them invoices? I am in this situation now and I need to make sure I submit invoices correctly. I mean did you have real invoices? I am selling VERO

can you find the seller ID?
Just because his name implies he sells vinyl records ,he could have been selling something similar to what you sell or have sold

I think this has all happened coz he’s submitted docs and info to its prompted a manual review! If left to the bots no link would have occared.

MC011 on such an established account must be connected to selling activity

most likely increased sales led to restriction and after docs were uploaded a link to another suspended account was found

I didn’t know there are tiers? Thanks, I need to look into that. I think you can push 40k a few months like during holidays but if it’s every month then that’s 500k+ a year. That’s a lot. I wouldn’t feel comfortable doing that much on eBay. I get anxiety during holidays for this reason.

Ebay has checks on accounts that push high volume. I know manual reviews set in if you exceed 5k per day.

tiers come from credit card companies so that adyen and all other processors use this system

Hey guys I have been dealing with eBay for over a week, still nothing.

eBay phone support said that the account that is linked with mine is in a different state and we have different names. It was suspended for non payment. No idea how it was linked.

I have been calling and emailing eBay, but I always get the same response

"After a thorough review of the account, we show that your account was restricted or suspended because you have a previous account that's still suspended, or you're allowing a suspended member to use your account.

eBay phone support sent a email to another department today. We will see.

I have tried to look up the discountvinylrecords account, but they are suspended so can't see anything.

Thanks for the suggestions everybody, guess it is time to get a few more account running.

We Are Back Baby!!!!

After reading all the forums and info you guys suggested the best way to to reach out to eBay was on Facebook for business. They forwarded the email to the right department and with in an hour they have reinstated my account. Lesson learned I was too comfortable using one account time to spread the sales a bit.

No I have not, no idea why they linked up with someone from a different state. After they looked into it more they have reinstated me!!

They may also be linked if you used fo example the same card to pay the fees it happened to me, the support may tell the reason

You have to find the right monkey at customer care support

Try to send different email to them, you will get different answer

This thing of MC011 to confirm deliveries and then show invoice is really weird

I'm in the same boat with an account have more than 100 feedbacks from sells, more than 3 months old, and already suspended two time in a row for MC011 and reinstated both times..now the third time...

Really ridicolous

I never heard of contacting ebay thru facebook...Can you tell me how I go about contacting them on facebook??
