New ebay money hold times ?
 

Hello.

Recently have sold items on two accounts and i have noticed that cos ebay is now holding money for 40 days ?
Before was 30 days.

This is only for now or isomething has recently changed in that ?

Both accounts tracking added.

If it's high priced, high risk items. It's 30 days.

Pain in the ass I know.

Yes it is, but now it is 40 days not 30.

Looks like they have changed it

Just have to wait it out

Sometimes they can release funds earlier though

Yes they release but not for new accounts.

Seems like they will change from 30 days now to 40 or it is some temporary glitch.

Did the buyers leave positive feedback? Sometimes they release earlier after.

It also depends on the category,some are considered high risk
40 days is safer than 30 days,if buyer does not complain after 30 days,he probably is happy with his purchase.
also Ebay buyer protection is good for 30 days

I honestly think that in these cases it is always important to send tracking numbers and maintain that communication with the buyer.

Although in many cases that will continue to happen, you will have your money for 40 days, but it will help in the future to be friendlier and get it faster

It is not realted with feedbacks or comunication.
Category maybe.
Never had 40days hold, always had 30 days despite tracking, comunication, new or 20 sold items.

Does anybody else have this changes from 30 to 40 days or not !?

This is when I sold an item back in November 2.

eBay going downhill more and more.

Can even be 60 days, and payment released when the customer receives the item

That's nuts. No way I am going to be waiting 2 months for a $1000 payment.
