| | "Your payouts are temporarily on hold" - 5 day review? Any idea if this is doomed? First item sold in a few years. I got this yesterday at 2PM, so it's been around 30 hours. UK account, it wasn't a high risk item. I've taken all my other listings down for now.
Worried, not tried calling or emailing etc, just leaving it and hoping for the best. https://i.imgur.com/TP4WsmU.png |

Never had a positive outcomes with these retarded messages. |

Never had a positive outcomes with these retarded messages. | I've had the same experience 2 out of 3 times, but that was 2 years ago or so. |
| hotadvice | 06-06-2024 05:21 PM | Re: "Your payouts are temporarily on hold" - 5 day review? its happened to me five times in two weeks,,,just dropped off after 5 days ...i dont even worry about it.The new AI is very sensitive...i think it measures no of newly items listed + sales vs a previous ....so if newly listed items went from 5 listings to 10 listings with sales of 500 pounds as a reference in comparison to 2 listings to 4 listings some days ago...the differential in figures triggers the AI |

Did yours drop off automatically after 5 business days?
From looking at my old accounts that got banned, they got banned after an hour or day etc. I’ve already passed that mark, so hoping it’ll just drop. |
| hotadvice | 06-06-2024 05:32 PM | Re: "Your payouts are temporarily on hold" - 5 day review? dont get me wrong ive had it happen once, that it got to the fifth day mark, then i got suspended. However, with these lot, ive made sure the positive feedbacks keep hitting the transactions ive done during that timeframe.its usually an AI doing these automatic checks, and its filtering tru all its programme check lists. So i must imagine, its filtering your feedback, filtering your tracking no to make sure its showing as delivered within that five day time frame. If all checks out, it leaves you alone and goes onto next victim.
If it doesnt check out, goes straight to someones desk for a manual review depending on how bad things look. The AI may have instructions to just suspend it itself. |

Their AI bs when they first started implementing it screwed a lot of people.
BUt normally when I get these, it is 100% because of the bank I attached to it.
If I use a prepaid card bank like Chime, Varo or Venmo, they get that message 2-3 days after.
With other banks like BOA or Chase, nothing. Free and clear. |
| hotadvice | 06-06-2024 05:42 PM | Re: "Your payouts are temporarily on hold" - 5 day review? What i can advice
During festive periods or sales periods....put up ur listings. The AI will be toned down during such periods. Its just not possible to keep after so many sellers and listings.Your accounts most likely going to live during such periods so make many sales and listings during that timeframe |

| Feels like 5 business days |
| hotadvice | 06-07-2024 03:41 PM | Re: "Your payouts are temporarily on hold" - 5 day review? 5 days unless bank holidays...ebay is 7 days business days |
| sam999 | 06-10-2024 05:45 PM | Re: "Your payouts are temporarily on hold" - 5 day review? I've seen this a lot and learnt how to pass it now almost every time.
Take any listings down that aren't 100% legitimate
Close off any open cases or returns, issuing a refund to buyers
If any cases are opened within those 5 days get them closed immediately
Do this AS FAST AS POSSIBLE. This review goes through multiple departments and if you aren't fast enough sometimes you will get suspended before you had a chance to get your account in order. |

| james_112233 | 06-12-2024 02:35 AM | Re: "Your payouts are temporarily on hold" - 5 day review? I would also add having this limitations like 5 times within 2 months is that if you sell really low value and then really high value items it's that price range that can trigger it. Naturally you will be sending the high value with tracking but the low value on a economy service. The delivery time scale can also trigger it too. Either way I have passed every time touch wood. No further docs or anything needed. They don't even let you know payouts are just released after 5-6 days.
+1 to Sam ...make sure cases are closed etc |
Re: "Your payouts are temporarily on hold" - 5 day review? 8 days have passed for OP - hoping for a solid update |
Re: "Your payouts are temporarily on hold" - 5 day review? All good, cleared after 5 days (not business).
Back to selling with instant payouts! |
Re: "Your payouts are temporarily on hold" - 5 day review? nice to hear r933 - continue to operate smoothly - never think for a moment that this can't reoccur |
Re: "Your payouts are temporarily on hold" - 5 day review? For sure, I’ll be sure to take it nice and slow.
They’ve now asked for ID, so I’ve sent that in - now we wait again.
EDIT: all good for now. |
Re: "Your payouts are temporarily on hold" - 5 day review? Same hold 3 months on, have a feeling this time there's an MC011 coming. |
| stealthymanager | 09-23-2024 04:29 PM | Re: "Your payouts are temporarily on hold" - 5 day review? The account is dead.
Usually after these ''Reviews'' they either reinstate right after or they start asking for documents.
IF they ask for documents, you've received a one way ticket to MC-land. |
