Some of you may have seen my other thread about avoiding a captcha when making a new account. It seems that may have been a red herring.
I made a batch of accounts using 4 different laptops to get a clean HWID and avoided all captchas. I'm using a residential IP of my own ISP to create them and just disconnecting it for new IPs with each account.
My method is the same as it's always been which was never a problem; New chrome profile, browse a few sites and click accept on cookie notices, make a gmail, use it with a fresh real phone sim from EE, browse a bit, watch 3 items.
List first item between 1 week and 1 month later (after another quick browse) using residential IP, (I saw no difference in outcome waiting a week or a month after new member flag).
Everything still fine, but listing a 2nd item always results in reactivation often within a minute. Doesn't matter what the item is or the price, from a flower to electronics, I've now had this happen 5 times only on accounts created this year.
I run all accounts in different chrome profiles on the same PC which has never been a problem before, I log into them on the "ebay" PC after using other laptops to create them with new HWID's. Something tells me it's about the creation process putting a risk flag on the account from the start rather than how I run the account though.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Re: Reactivation messages after years of success.. If you are in the UK you don't need res-idential IP, full stop.
Maybe try to build up some buying feedback before you start selling, remember old stealth rules and looking like 'average' joe. When you first used Ebay i'm pretty sure you didn't sell something first
That's not to say that you can't list without the feedback, but it helps |

I know it could look like feedback manipulation but I didn't expect it to be problem with only two purchases
I wonder if this is causing the issue as it's the only thing I've changed this year (Last year I would list with 0 and be patient) |

It is not only reactivates but stupid identity verification request when changing them into seller accounts.
Out of about 200 accounts I have turned into sellers, maybe only 10-20 of them actually last and are able to sell an item. The rest got toast, identity requested or flat out suspended.
Even my solid 2 year old accounts got toasted as soon as eBay started to implement more AI based regulation.
I get the reactivates or those identity requests no matter how I slice it.
Waiting 2 weeks with browsing history and some purchases or without.
Waiting a month with or without history.
Listing after just creating the account.
Matching name + address + location of the IP + phone
Matching name + address
Mismatching name + address
Using sim cards from boost mobile, straight talk, ATT, Verizon, tmobile, etc.
Using desktop with separate profile.
Using mobile devices on 4 different phones: Iphone XS Max, Galaxy, S24 & an Iphone 11.
Absolutely no luck. Have not had one account stay up for more than 7 days for the past 3 months.
Their bots have wrecked a lot for the past year. We are in june and these reactivates have never lasted into June from what I experienced. |

You may need to experiment with how much time you leave before turning into a seller |

I'm going to test today on one of my spare dormant accounts, listing an item with 0 feedback without buying, then listing another tomorrow, and finally a third on day 3 to see if the activation message triggers with 0 feedback. |

Like you literally have to be kidding me here.
Now the accounts are getting hit with reactivate within 10 minutes compared to 2 days.

I am thinking this is some eBay's security BS.
Haven't had issues with account creation before that time using mobile. I never use desktop or anything that is not mobile since I never had any luck period with them.
Going to most likely create one by tomorrow and see how long this crap lasts. |

I'm trying an experiment on the first account I reactivated successfully, I bought two items yesterday and watched some items. Just watched a few more. Now it's past midnight in the UK I'm going to try and list something innocuous and see if the watching and purchasing yesterday stops the predictable suspension within an hour. |

Ever since back in 2022 where my 2 year old accounts with 20 sales were getting hit with a reactivate after submitting a second listing. I started taking it slower and rotating accounts to move inventory. I am talking about upwards of 30 accounts selling one item at a time till it sells.
Haven't had those issues with the seasoned accounts I have now. I create them on mobile then use inkfrog to manage the account. |

The test failed MC999 for a risky pack of empty CD cases, sigh.
I've started another test on a spare account and listed an item with 0 feedback. I'll buy it from one of my accounts tomorrow after 16 hours or so then try listing another item 24 hours after that. Then I'll repeat again 16 hours and a relist next day.
If it survives the first listing + 2 relists of another I'll know for sure it's safe and it was the penny purchases flagging the accounts. |

Maybe it was my network but the one time I tried making accounts with hotspot they were weak and failed fast. I went back to resedential with same process and never had issues.
What provider are you using for hotspot? |

What provider are you using for hotspot? | Failed as you mean suspended or reactivated fairly quickly?
I haven't had success with residential on anything desktop. Maybe it isn't the ip or something to do with what is on my desktop.
Have you tried testing with just using the residential for one account and making the listings from there? |
