Is New Ebay Account Creation Worth it in 2024?

Hello all! I'm wondering if ebay stealth account creation is still worth it in 2024? At one point I had 10 accounts going, this was years ago and wondering if its still possible or worth the trouble in 2024. Thanks all!

Hello, it is still profitable, although it is not as easy as before but now it is still good to create them

It is definitely different, premise is still the same. BUt with eBay's introduction of AI, it has be a cluster of issues like nobody's business.

I don't know what type of resources you have or how good they are, but couple of members here including me are getting hit with reactivates.

So long ad you have things that can be sold for profit then its always still worth it

Running accounts is still exactly the same

Creation methods are a little different but not that far off what they have always been

Worth it in what sense though ? back in the days you could create throw away accounts. Now when you go over thresholds you have to start adding in a national insurance number. The playing field of online ventures will drastically change with new laws aimed at making genuine registered businesses flourish by removing bad sellers.

If you're a genuine businessman, that got suspended looking to get back on the platform to sell again, yeah you're fine as you will be registered with the authorities doing everything properly over there anyway.

If you're someone someone that's been dodging tax, not declaring online income and because of which you were able to undercut properly registered businesses or you're using throw away accounts because you sell vero items etc. It's not straight forward anymore and probably not worth it.

I find that account creation isn't the problem, nor is selling them cause I would buy more accounts if I had sellers that had usable accounts cause I have accessing to true SSN and Photo ID's with legit banking info. The problem is that finding US sellers that have accounts that can be used in the US with MC011 Suspensions is the issues. I run 4 would like to buy 20 more someone point me in the right direction.

In this case, do you have names and addresses to do the accounts or do you need the accounts and do you do the documents yourself?

the problems on ebay do not come from undeclared taxes but from deliberate actions by ebay towards any seller regardless of their tax status , there are many examples of people who got bankrupted by ebay and also amazon despite having completely legitimate businesses

and this will continue this way , HMRC may become a factor on some sellers but they can not investigate all of them so the game will continue where it is the smart ones who will have better chances of survival rather than the honest ones

ebay are crooks and honesty towards crooks = stupidity

This is correct, the smart ones are the ones who will manage to move forward...
ebay are certainly somewhat criminal, and honesty here does not matter much

I normally purchase these from the actual people I deal with and the use is granted by limited power of attorney. I always do it legally so there is no recourse to myself or anyone else I sell to. I have some pretty air tight agreements when it comes to opening eBay accounts in this manner cause the laws across the lower 48 and overseas in other countries are all different but power of attorney that's transferrable which the state I am in allows via agreement is undisputable in any court across the US and in most other countries as well. People are commodities Facebook has proven this as well have google via Youtube.

They are getting that across the country at Mcdonald's but when you have franchisee store grossing over 7 million in sales for the year even if you have a crew of 30 making 20 and hour and your open 16hours a day your still making stupid money

I have just bought an ebay account from a verified seller on this forum for $400.
I listed JBL speaker as used on an auction with a starting price of $1.
After 6 days of of auction my account was suspended forever.
I have no idea how they detect it and what I did wrong.
:(

1. Have you spoken with the seller and followed their guidelines about listing?

2. I'm not sure if JBL is a risky brand or not. I'd wait for the input from other experienced members here.

As SaiJin stated, you should speak to the seller - also I wouldnt have listed a JBL speaker as first item - it's electronic/trademarked...so could be risky

in your opinion, how many times do I need to list some let's say handmade items until I can finally list what I can sell? thanks

I'd build the account at least for a few weeks. Get good feedbacks, etc.

THere's no set rules. I just happen to be over cautious.

when buying ebay accounts the first and most important thing you need to know is how many items this account sold in the past , if there were no sold items the probability of suspension = almost 100% with only a slight chance of survival

at least 1-2 months of lower end sales and feedbacks is a decent approach
