| | | | | solefoodbk | 07-13-2024 12:53 AM | Feedback removal - 2024 update With the new feedback structure we all know it's extremely harder to get feedback removed, however it is possible.
I had a customer buy something I did not have inventory on hand of, and because of this there was delays in shipping. It was my fault, however I did my best to work with the customer. Regardless, they ended up leaving negative feedback calling me a scammer - blah blah blah.
I called eBay and tried to think of all possible scenarios to get the feedback removed. Nothing worked.
Once the package was delivered, I called and also sent maybe 2-3 more appeals. I never received an SR #, or any acknowledgment about my feedback, but someone did remove it. Therefore I think if you have a good account, and can articulate yourself correctly there is always a chance still to get this removed. I'm sure many will say it's impossible but I know from experience now it isn't. Having sold on eBay for 9+ years, if something happens once it can defiantly happen twice.
I quoted the abuse buyer policy, stating I satisfied the customers concerns. At the end of the day all we're doing is making someone respond off emotion, 9/10 eBay employees might deny, but it only takes 1 and persistence. |
| lymbo70 | 07-16-2024 12:52 AM | Re: Feedback removal - 2024 update Just to clarify did you submit the feedback removal request through the portal or send an email?
Once the feedback appeal is denied is there any hope it can be removed through email support?
I had a neg feedback appeal DENIED because they say its the "Buyer Opinion" regarding item description complaints.
They only way I got it removed was "bribing" the buyer to delete it |

But glad you got the neg deleted though... |

They only way I got it removed was "bribing" the buyer to delete it | I had my requests denied over 5 times and stated the same thing. It does not matter. Expect to be denied. The trick is doing it enough times by altering your reasonings until it works. I am about to try this again in 2 days for basically the same scenario, related to shipping.
I am not sure whether it was my phone call, or the last ticket I sent them. They're processed slightly differently I think. Regardless it did work so I know it will work again.
Just know, you can appeal multiple times even though they all tell you its only two times. All you do is send them the request via email using chat. Every time you submit an appeal you should be altering your reason until something sticks. Quoting eBay policy is essential. Find keywords in the policy and manipulate that to fit your case. |

I sold a USED phone and 60 days later the buyer leaves feedback (The phone’s screen started getting darker on the upper left hand corner, now half the screen is dark and I am no longer able to use it.)
My appeal just got denied after I wrote the phone was sold as used not new and 60 days without any contact most likely buyer manhandled it. |

| lymbo70 | 07-26-2024 05:38 AM | Re: Feedback removal - 2024 update ITS 98% feedback overall rating but my problem is also this person uploaded his ugly naked legs and feet sitting on his disgusting bed while showing the phone screen.
I know this will not qualify for "nudity" policy but those photos are so gross. Quote:

| sam999 | 07-26-2024 11:38 AM | Re: Feedback removal - 2024 update Just an fyi for others and maybe this is obvious info. I have about an 80% success rate in getting it removed just by calling the buyers phone number (a day later after they cool off) provided on the order page, and being ultra polite with a bit of manipulation. Sometimes I pretend the negative feedback has "locked my account" and I need it to survive as my primary income, etc. |
| lymbo70 | 07-27-2024 09:16 AM | Re: Feedback removal - 2024 update I tried that. I texted the buyer and he said to refund/pay him $60 to remove the feedback. Quote:

If I get a neg, I just let it sit since usually it's a "⊗⊗⊗⊗" neg. |
