Below standard help

I need a little help.

I have an ebay store (real me not stealth) and was going fantastic out of the gate, great limits, sales and feedback 500 products sold, etc.

I got Covid, underline medical issues I was DOWN AND OUT in every sense of the word, so I had a few late shipments (not insanely but late) everyone ended up getting their product no one got ripped off. Few cases went not taken care of and ebay stepped in and refunded and I STILL shipped, so ended up with no neg feedback.

I have 5 cases and 1 was removed by customer service (I explained what happened and she understood, did a 24 hour review and it was removed)

Anyways im below standard now and sales are AWFUL I got the best prices on ebay for all my stuff (literally) and from selling multi a day im down to almost 1 - 3 sales a week.

Long story short what are some tricks to get me back to out of below standard? what can I do? I know it takes sales but they supress searches so how can we ever get sales?I need some serious help dont wanna let this ebay go but at the moment I cant make a living from it!!!

Sorry to hear that, my man.

1. I know of a couple of people who were in worse shape with their account due to covid, they told me that they contacted eBay and even gave them documents from the doctor that they got covid, got hospitalized, etc.

This brought their account back.

2. Adding extra low value items that's cheap but they sell fast will help boost your reputation again, plus getting those positive feedbacks.

3. if I recall it takes about 30-60 days for the "suppression" to be lifted on their back end while you sell normally again.

These are what came to mind and I'm sure other members can chime in as well.

I think if you start selling different items I was telling you about this should show up in the search.

Also I think it's worth it to contact CS and see if you offer them those medical records you getting covid will help them lift your "soft" suspension.

They wont supress those?

Re: Below standard help

They will suppress everything you list whilst you are below standard.

You need to buy your way out of this to generate sales and feedback. Find and list popular generic products with a reasonable purchase price and sell them at a big discount - cheap enough to make you top of the list for those who sort by price - not everyone blindly follows ebays recommendation that you buy from promoted sellers.

If you really want this account for meaningful selling then this is a small price to pay.

Dollar shop items are a bad idea for this, don't waste your time with wares which are already cheap to start with.

Let's not forget, if you remain below standard for too long they could theoretically suspend the account albeit unlikely if you have no further issues.

Pretty much anything from anywhere. I'm in the UK so can't suggest specific stores.

If you want your account health back then you need to put some effort in, you've got the solution.

is it true that under $10 sale with no tracking does not hurt you?

will not hurt you as long as customer doesn't complain

Re: Below standard help

Plenty of sellers selling low price items do not use tracking,USPS first class is now $4.09 with tracking, makes no sense to use it when selling low price items
There is an ebay label for anything under 1 ounce ,for 69 cents, try it,it looks like there is tracking, not sure if it is tracking?
I printed one yesterday ,then found out my item is three ounces, this 69 cents label cannot be cancelled
