Pick up delivery - Funds on hold
 

Hello fellow sellers.

Sold something and Buyer picked up the item. Now my funds are on hold (there is no date of realese).

Buyer never received any message/e-mail from eBay for QR code od 6 Digit code that i can enter and confirm delivery, neither I received.

what is the item?
Do you have to mark it shipped or delivered?
Why arent you not asking cash on pickup?

For some reason those links dont seem to be working

The item has been marked as collected by the sounds of it. It may just be some glitch with eBay. Its happening all the time at the moment

Ebay is asking for tracking number before it can release your fund.
Most local pickups are cash or money order or check,if you use MP,it asks for tracking.
call Ebay .

give it 24-48 hours and see if it changes.

It could also be their system hasn't updated.

Most sellers know if you opt for MP as payment method,you would need to come up with tracking,therefore they would accept cash,money order or postal order or personal check.
You know most buyers use cc for MP payment and they can always said I did not receive the item.
Some sellers who accept MP for local pickup would just mail a card to the buyer address to satisfy MP tracking requirement.
I dont know if it is too late for you to do so.
Back when Paypal was the only payment method on EBay,sellers would take picture of shaking hands with buyer,that means nothing!

I sell coupons and magazines for 5-25 dollars,I do not have tracking,just mark it shipped and I get the MP money in a few days .
I either use stamps for magazines /newspaper and for coupon,just send the image of the coupon and buyers will use the digital code to buy online ,eg Home depot coupns
Can the seller mark it shipped for local pickup?

No it is not resolved. Money is on hold for more than 10 days now...

Have you called Ebay ,maybe some rep could release the fund for you?
or mail a thank you card to your buyer with tracking,cost is $4.09/

These are all handled by bots,if bots are programmed to look for tracking,then it would not release the fund unless tracking shows delivered,thats why you need a human to override the bot.
In the future,EBAY PROGAMMER may change the program ,someone within Ebay has to bring up this case

I meant to type "not sure" - I don't think reps do these release of funds like way way back unfortunately...so much automation these days

Back in the old days,most pickups are paid with cash /personal check ,Ebay does not intervene unless one of them complains.
No one would use Paypal or Bilpoint as there is no tracking to prove delivery,some would take pictures,thats useless

Funds were released automatically before 1 day. So appx 3.5 weeks after order.

That's good news on the release of funds - even 3.5 weeks after is still long and absurd

Yeah, it is long but they are Finally released. I thought they were keep them forever.

DO NOT ACCEPT MP payment for future pickup.
If he files a chargeback with his cc issuer,EBAY will not protect you
