| greenlaurel | 08-24-2024 02:44 PM | İtem Location issue After creating an account, I set cookies for about a month. First, I list a small product. The product I listed is not going to sell. I boost the account. A week after this small product expires, I list a large listing. This is where the problem starts. I set the location of the large priced product (around $1500) to the USA. The address opened for the account is Turkey. When I change the product location, my account becomes reactive and then gets closed. I don’t understand why. What do you think is causing this problem? |
| degsey69 | 08-24-2024 03:12 PM | Re: İtem Location issue I would think that a Turkish account selling a large dollar item in the USA with no selling history will be enough to close the account. |

do you really have the $1500 item in USA? | I have been selling from Turkey to the USA for years, you can say that I have been experiencing this problem for the last month. |

Going from low price item to $1500 item for an overseas seller with location USA get you suspended, try something small, try something old, ethnic ,authentic like pipes, trinklet box ,ethnic jewelry, daggers, knives | Even though it's low priced, I get suspended when the location is USA |

| murdered_by_ebay | 08-24-2024 05:32 PM | Re: İtem Location issue ebay do not welcome item location of another country unless you have selling history with location in the country of registration
and later when you switch to USA you should only start with small value items
they have exceptions for certain countries like UK and germany accounts where they are tolerant towards USA as location but with third world countries this is considered high risk |

Things are different now, high inflation, poor economy make more people want to make money ,all the venues have tightened their security, some even closed stores due to high crimes, they want to send you sms.2 factor verification, ask you a bunch of stupid questions, some banks will hold your money for up to 15 days after clearance.
Do you really have these items in USA or are you doing retail arbitrage, how do you prove you have them in USA if asked?
I called a bank yesterday just to close my damn credit card, and since my phone would not accept its sms,the verification expert comes online and asked me a bunch of stupid questions before they will close the account,i mean close not applying a new account. | The products are in the USA and I have receipts to prove they are in the USA |

location in USA,do you have to give a zipcode? | I have to because it is sent from the USA, if I do not give the correct address and postal code, I will be doing retail arbitrage as you mentioned and eBay does not like that. |

Products range from $50-$100 | this depends on the selling history , it counts and a lot , if you want to sell such items from USA you would need to have 6+ months selling history with regular sales of similar items |

wel, then it could be the asking price is too high, try something lower than $100.
Ebay does pay attention if a seller used to see items under $100,then starts listing high price items , | Thank you very much for your support. |

There is not much difference between accounts with no sales history and accounts that are not well established. I think it is possible to sell within certain limits in a well established account. I think the situation I experienced was a small mistake, but I may have gotten confused by thinking too much. 😂 |
