Mismatched name Bank for long run ?
 

Hello Folks

Have left eBay long time after MP introduced. Now trying to come back.
I used my friend info to register eBay with my Chime bank (of course for payout). Now everything looks good and already list some items.
Now I am wondering if it is good for long time ? Since the bank is under my name, eBay is my friend's info.
1. Will eBay know this mismatch sooner or later ?
2.Will eBay ask bank statement for some verification if I made some sales or beyond amount ?

I really appreciate it for any reply.

Long weekend and summer time/back to school - best to be patient and wait for forum ppl to reply

From what I know, 1. Sooner or later, they could see the mismatch via deposit-withdraw method or if you pay fees from the bank account.

2. I am not sure about this statement completely - I haven't been asked for a bank statement specifically...

Yes, I did some search on the forum. Someone mentions UK cannot use mismatched bank. I am not sure US account is OK with mismatched .

Not a great place to ask - especially if you are logged in as your eb account...

eb can see mismatched name if funds come out of the bank account. I cant say 100% a restriction will be made but chances go up sadly

Can't speak for US as its a different system but in the UK, no.

I've been talking to a few US sellers - most US banks will accept mismatching name

I see you have the stealth guide, it did say in there it doesn't matter.

I haven't had a single issue and I've been doing it for over a decade

There is absolutely no problem to have a mismatching names bank account linked on your eBay.
I've been working like that ever since managed payments came around :)

Good question,if Ebay asks for a bank statement,whose bank statement would you give Ebay?

You would have to supply documentation so that it matches the info on eb account...

ebay account is in his friend's name,bank account is in his name?
Is he going to add his friend to his bank account without telling him?

I think as long as you can confirm the deposits its okay. Bank statements are easy to make
