| franci | 09-07-2024 08:56 AM | Ebay bank change I have two old accounts linked to a bank that is now invalid, and I need to update it.
Changing the bank on Etsy is smooth, What about Ebay?
Any safe way to do it on Ebay?
I need advice from someone who has experience please |
| Yidan | 09-07-2024 09:01 AM | Re: Ebay bank change Just try relink it should be fine |

| murdered_by_ebay | 09-07-2024 10:51 AM | Re: Ebay bank change the only problem that may arise here is that ebay require to have a valid mobile number on file which has been on file for several months |

| agent006140 | 09-07-2024 06:35 PM | Re: Ebay bank change Several years ago,an ex employee of an AMZN THIRD PARTY MARKET PLACE shop changed the bank account and siphoned off $80k.
The owner wants to know what is the name of the bank but AMZN refused to tell.
Since then ,AMZN revised its policy, before you change the bank account, you must enter the account number of the bank you have on file which is not too difficult to do if you are an employee who handles its cash or recent ex employee ?
So what is to prevent Ebay from hacker getting into your account and change your bank account if it does not care if the name matches?
Also if a sales venue can trace the hacker comes to the site with your IP address, log into your account with your password ,then it is you or someone you allow ,it is your problem, not theirs.
Not sure if it can tell it is your device?????????? |

| agent006140 | 09-08-2024 01:07 PM | Re: Ebay bank change I am trying to point out the peril of letting anyone who can access your account and make changes,if it happens to AMZN seller,it could also happen to Ebay seller or Etsy seller .
If a scammer finds out it works on AMZN,it probably would work on Ebay as well,
Further away from this topic is an interesting case recently with Chase, the bank will allow you to make partial withdrawal of your deposit via ATM before the deposit clears .
But recently there is a flaw where you can make complete withdrawal and this was disclosed on Tiktok,so some who have accounts with Chase will deposit checks from other accounts which do not have enough fund to cover the written check, say check deposited is $1k but there is really $200 in that account, some even use their own accounts, write himself a check of $1k when there is just $50 in his account.
They bragged of how much they have made on Tiktok and even showed pictures of themselves waving the cash from ATM.
It was reported in WSJ recently, just last week, grab a copy and read it yourself |

| agent006140 | 09-08-2024 01:38 PM | Re: Ebay bank change No,it is a bug in the Chase system.
These days if yo deposit a check with the bank,it would take 13 days before it will credit your account,I am not aware other banks besides Chase will allow partial withdrawal .
I think Chase has fixed the bug in its system and go after these scammers, how I dont know? |

I have some US accounts that let me take partial and even full withdrawal after depositing a check...but that is from being a long time client with solid relationship /shrug |

In the past it is Paypal ,now it is MP,so you need to know how MP works.
Or go to Ebay seller forum and ask |

From what I understand both eBay accounts use the same bank account?
If so, do it one by one.
First verify one account (wait for microdeposits or send statement if they give you that option)
After a few days do the same on your second account.
Nothing to be scared of.
Just dont do it at once on both accounts, else if they both get verification via microdeposits, you'll have a hard time choosing which ones are for which account :heh: |

I have switched from WISE to a Payoneer, by entering the number that starts with LU, it was suspended immediately.
I think ebay Spain don't like iban LU.. other account use iban ES.. not problem..
send me your TG can work together.. |
| SaiJin | 09-25-2024 06:39 PM | Re: Ebay bank change It'd be best if you use the banks corresponding to your country |
| murdered_by_ebay | 09-25-2024 09:24 PM | Re: Ebay bank change you can use other EU countries , the problem is not in LU but in the swift encoded in the IBAN , the system sees it is payoneer and they do not like payoneer at all |

First I chatted with an agent, and he told me that the account had a permanent suspension, and that I could never sell on eBay again. After a few hours I called and a girl lifted the suspension. INCREDIBLE. |

It is just that people report that ebay will withdraw the microdeposits in a few days and I am wondering if they can then see the name of the bank account owner. |
| agent006140 | 11-20-2024 08:29 AM | Re: Ebay bank change There is a recent thread that Ebay does not do micro deposits any more,it asks for bank statement OR something else, |
| hotadvice | 11-20-2024 08:43 AM | Re: Ebay bank change they dont do micro deposits, they do penny test 1p in .... 1p out....pass this and ur good to go! |
| hotadvice | 11-20-2024 08:49 AM | Re: Ebay bank change i feel for ebay, as there are alot of creative minds out here, who just know how to beat the system.I'm pretty sure they have a few of their techs on here reading through and implementing changes.I dont disclose too much for this reasons. |
