Default Never sold on eBay before

So I used to frequent this sub to buy VCC's from a seller here, but I had never actually tried to sell on eBay or Amazon.

But now, I've ran into some items, that I would like to sell and I have a few questions.

Ideally, I don't want to be scammed by eBay/Amazon. I.e., I don't want to sell the items, account gets limited, then I can't withdraw my money.

So what do you suggest I do? The items are legitimate, but I don't have any receipts for them. They were a gift.

Firstly which is the safest site to sell on? eBay or Amazon or other?

The value of the items I want to sell are like £20 each. Probably stand to make £200 when I sell it all.

Am I likely to get limited/suspended and request for receipts if i create a new account and try to sell?

Even if both sites suspend you you will receive your money.

For ebay is max 190 from the date of the suspension

if it is legit low price items, limit the quantity like 1-2 ,get good feedback and then list more.
Plenty of Ebay sellers have no receipt for item found in attic, garage sale or bought long ago

I don’t think they will ask for receipts. Just don’t list everything all at once

Best not to go gung-ho - list slowly if dealing with new account...

Definitely eBay.

Amazon is 10x harder than eBay.... they are not a garage sale platform.

if not eBay, try mercari.... in fact they are the easiest.

For that amount of money, and if that's all you want to sell it will be a lot easier to sell them locally, through Shpock or similar.

If you really want to sell online, eBay is easier, Amazon will almost always want wholesale invoices (not receipts) these days.

I think it claims to be worldwide but mostly Europe - The core markets are the UK, Germany, and Austria.

No. Every needs to start somewhere and they don't sound like high risk items if they're worth £20. If your account has no history, then don't list too many at a time and make sure you ship items on time. Initially, they will delay payment.

BTW, I have tried selling on Shpock. Really slow and much smaller audience compared to eBay. Can work for some items but it's akin to a bootsale and people keep trying to haggle the price down. In the end, I gave up. The only benefit seems to be zero fees.

You will be more likely to be asked for retail receipts if you list the item and state quantity =20,as most individual sellers will have just one or two.
Take you own photos and list in your own words,vs using stock photo and description.
I have seen old timers selling on Ebay, they attend storage auctions of defunct jewelry stores or small factories not paying their storage bill could have jewelry ,wristwatch bands ,buttons etc .so they sell them on Ebay, not a problem
