Anyone successfully passing the verification where you submit a Photo ID and a bank statement?

if you're getting this, there might be a problem with the way you make the accounts.
the chance of bypassing this is very slim especially for newly created accounts.

Selfies? Thats ****en weird. Although I think amazon did something similar when I tried signing up for them (or maybe it was just a zoom call I forget)

Happened on and off with eBay for a while but most the time its due to a limitation not on account creation

It's happening on all new accounts. It's either a selfie + bank statement or an id + bank statement. Don't believe otherwise.

No its not. Moreover, on ebay.com, under, "registering as a seller", it says, "we'll need to confirm your identity and in SOME CASES we may need you to send us a photo of a valid form of identification."

So, during account creation, if you throw any flags, they will ask for ID.

Not sure who is talking about a buyer account, even referred to, "registering as a seller".

New seller accounts, if created properly, do not require any form of ID or bank statement. Period. If you have a flagged SSN, since the last 4 are asked during registration, maybe this would throw a flag, not sure.

I'll waste my time and prove you wrong with a VIDEO, just for you, if you put $250 in a escrow account that I get to keep after success :bounce:

As with any account that I have created over the last 20 years, no forms of ID needed.

They have been asking for selfie since early 2023. At least from what I have seen. Probably not for all accounts, but overtime it's silly to think it won't be implemented.

Stealth only gets harder overtime, not easier.

I have over 25 years of eBay selling history. When you don’t know something don’t push your agenda. Your SSN is flagged, or your IP is crappy or you aren’t opening a business account (correctly). Put your money on your confidence and I’ll video it. No more discussion

New to me they have ever asked for a selfie. If it’s been since 2023, has to be for flagged accounts/info during creation. They may ask for it overtime, but as with any stealth account, stolen info is never OK and related info is the way to go, in which case the selfie should not be an issue.

I just open a seller account on Ebay,no ID needed.
I listed one item and link a bank account.
