eBay automated positive feedback... for the SELLER!

Has anyone seen this? This is probably the coolest f*cking thing Ive ever seen.

Decided to reactivate some old account I havent used in a while and made some sales. And get this, once the item was delivered to the buyer... I received positive feedback... but not from the buyer! EBAY actually posted positive feedback ON MY ACCOUNT on behalf of the buyer, with the generic copy pasta "This transaction was successfully completed by the seller"! Wtf! So cool

This is seriously the coolest feature Ive ever seen ebay ever do, and yet it seems to have only been activated on one of my many accounts. Is anyone else seeing this? My 0 feedback account went straight to 10 feedback just like that, with my 10 very first sales

Wondering if anyone know if Im just one of a lucky few as part of some beta test, or if this is a replicable thing I can somehow do across my other accounts. So f*cking cool

This is awsome and finally addresses the issue of 70% of buyers not leaving feedback. Really good new feature by eBay even if a little overdue

Could this possibly cause an issue with stealth if eBay looked up the tracking numbers and see the local post office used is not near the registered stealth address?

I haven't seen this yet and I sell quite a lot on eBay.

When is it left, surely the buyer has to be given a reasonable chance to leave negative/neutral feedback if deserved?

Not complaining as a seller, and I can see ebays angle and making their sellers look good but as a buyer I'd be unhappy with eBay deciding that my transaction had been completed successfully and leaving feedback on my behalf.

Nope that wont be an issue. It would have been an issue way in the past if it was going to be an issue :)

Any idea if eBay are releasing the 21 day holds with this if automatic feedback is left?

Ebay feedback does not tell anyone if the item is authentic, broken or missing.
Only the buyer knows.

I think Autoking was implying positive feedback...

I would think these holds will still continue until thee account is deemed safe after a number of successfully completed sales.

I love how there is no eBay link I can find talking about this. I have just started getting these automatic feedbacks on my account from 2018.

Anybody know when this actually started? I have orders from early September not receiving feedback, however I think orders within the last 15 days are? So what is the time length for this? 21 days?

Mercari is a dead marketplace in 5 years. I might open another account because I make money off it, however there is no long term business incentive that Mercari offers other marketplaces can't. They have no niche, and laid off 50% of employees.

After my account was limited, I had one customer open a return request, the package was delivered to me, and after 5 days Mercari still did not process my customer a refund. I had to contact them, they didn't respond to my ticket however refunded my customer.

If it has happened to me I know many other people experience something similar. Mercari used to be the fastest to responding to issues, now it's comparable to TikTok IMO. It will be a nightmare this holiday season. They can't keep up during August or September.

They will probably rely heavily on AI, which means many sellers will get improperly suspended in the process. Like I was.

Likely true - given that it's dead and not super profitable, the aim is minimize paid employees...

I am not sure but I think with these new automated feedbacks that removes the ability to make your listings private for feedback.

I am talking about eBay. All my listings are marked private and yet my feedback continues to show public, but I also get the automated feedback. I haven't seen an account yet that is getting both automated feedback + having the item etc as private.

I think the reason for this is eBay wants customers to know what was automated feedback by eBay and what wasn't. If the feedback is all 100% private than you have no idea what is automated by eBay and what isn't.

Are you saying that although you mark the listing as private that the item is still showing when the buyer leaves feedback?
