Ebay money hold times depend on shipping service
Hello.
Can someone explain how ebay hold times works for new accounts ?
Im chosing standart shipping time domestic 1-5 days and standart international shipping services 10-21 days
After sale money hold times is diferent sometimes 30 days + 7 days, yesturday sold 2 items in diferent accounts and there was 46 days hold.
At ebay policys there is only 30 days hold mentioned.
As i understand they count hold time depend on what shipping option you have chosed.
How to get 30 days hold time ??? |

They usually hold the funds based on the risk factory of your account.
THey just don't say it. |

Also will hold funds based on the risk assessment of the source of the payment...example: international customers, credit card source, etc... |

| You want to say it is surprise for every seller ? You want to sell something and you dont have clear understanding for how long time they can keep your money ? I think you are wrong.
What i have noticed is that i have chosed handling time 3 days but ebay set it for 11 days after item sold. 11+30 days is exacltly that hold time what i have. But why they set 11 days not 3 as i chosed while make listing i do t know ! |

| Im not expect to get less than 30 days. But why it is more than 40 days is the question.
No where in policys has been mentioned longer time than 30 days.
They count handling time + 30 days maximums period. |

Yeah I can explain to you how they work. On brand new accounts holds are usually 30 days but can be longer. If it’s longer than 30 days this will depend on what you’re selling and what price. If it’s super high price then holds will definitely be longer than 30 days bro.
If you upload tracking and it says your item is delivered you should be able to get funds released much earlier than 30 days like a few days. |

This time varies depend on shipping service.
I set handling time 3 days but ebay shows me ship by - 11 days !
Those 11 days goes on top of those 30 days. |

Maybe try a fresh run with a new stealth account and do comparison if holds are exactly the same - yes it's more time and effort but would give you your own insight comparison |

You have to ask Ebay why handling time is 11 days,it may have to do with YOU and what you sell and where and who does the shipping.
We dont know enough to play Sherlock Holmes.

| They have set extended handling time for all of the sellers :)
You can set even 1 days handling time but system will automaticly give you 11 days handling time, and + transaction hold. So it means 30 +11 =41 day hold. I have called them and asked why i have extended handling time, of course no one have answer on that. |

| I think it’s because you said you was selling 2 to 4K items lol so that’s why they extend the hold time on delivery as max hold is 30 days. If you drop the price to 500 and you select 1 day dispatch/delivery time it won’t be more than 30 days hold.

It could be what you are selling at $2-4K,where you are shipping from,like Ukraine?or a war torn unstable country or in remote area ?
There was a time in China,the government wants to know what you are shipping?In India,you have to show you have received payment ,like a bank incoming receipt before you can ship overseas,they dont want the merchant to have an overseas bank account and ask the buyer to deposit the sum in that account,so goods are leaving INDIA but money is kept elsewhere.
this is what people do when the country is unstable and its currency is losing value,these could delay your shipment if you have to prove your customer has paid you and the money has been deposited in a local bank.
we dont know which EU country you are in and what $2-4K items are you selling?
are those $2-4k items manufactured in your country?are they easily obtainable in your locale?do you have them in stock? |

| No its not because im new, on my 2020 year account with 50k$ limits where is no holds, there is also 11 days handling time.
Its not related with amount or account age. |

I use .com site because we dont have our domain as other countrys.
No this is well known brands which are produced in diferent countrys depend on brand.
