Live chat support stopped?
 

Have ebay stopped live chat support?

It's impossible to get through now
Doesn't matter what option I choose - the ONLY option is to receive a phone call

Receiving a phone call sucks
Have to have the phone stuck to the side of your head (unless using headset of course)
Need to explain the problem
Wait for them to understand
Re-explain when 70% of the time they just don't get it
This can take 15 min say
That's 15 min of purse dedicated wasted time

Instead... having chat support works much better
Instead of the 15 min, it might take 20 - 25 min - but in that time, you can be working on other things!!!!!!!!

Why are ebay sooo stupid?

Or is it just me?
Is there a formula to getting through to live chat support?

Because they are reading off a script and if they aren't Brits or Americans good luck getting them to understand "English".

I looked at my acc and the chat option is still there

I managed to get through to live support - by choosing need help creating a listing.
They keep changing :(

It used to be tough to find live support. I had to find the right link and loop through the site directory or click through other support options that didn't even pertain to my issue to land on the available chat option. It's a royal headache instead of being directly linked under "help".

If it helps, I found the live chat through "returns and refund" issues.

I think ebay have changed menu options again.
Before, if I started out on 'Selling on ebay' and chose 'how to create a listing' then I would get an option to chat with someone. That option is not there anymore.

You have a really dumb Ai system that takes many many many minutes to navigate.
Make me soooo angry!
I really hate ebay and despise them. They are self destructing to loyal sellers.
I'll always keep ebay despite them being idiots. But now I need to find new ways of selling directly from a website + Etsy I guess.

I also noticed this from the beginning of the year. Almost every option you get from their automated AI assistant is to ''leave a message'' or in some rare cases to request callback (and whoever used this in the past past knows the quality of their ''callback support'' :d )

You can use a cell phone ,then you can just hold the phone in your hands and speak into it.
Or rest it on a stand closeby.
I have a cheap Tracfone,it costs me $34,you may find a cheaper one in supermarket

it's a real pain in the neck to find the option for the chat or phone call, but it's there.

I don't do it often so I don't remember what options to click. They did it on purpose to make it hard for people to find it

they also hide the phone number you can call,i found it outside EBAY and called recently,there is a live person who could help you .

I had this issue as well. I swear I used to chat with someone from Ebay all the time to get my limits raised and stuff.
Now they auto raise my limits and I never talk to a human, I couldn't even find a talk to human option after going through the stupid menus.

They do have human customer service reps if you call them.
You have to find their phone number by searching outside Ebay .
