Not sure what steps to take here, 8 year old account doing first time listing
 

Hello everyone, currently confused about this screenshot:
Is this the new "selfie" verification? I have stealth/unused bank account for the new "payments" system I haven't seen yet.

Account is from 2016 and has only been used for buying items.

Is this normal procedure? Can this be achieved with a stealth prepaid phone, stealth details or will I need a name, address and ID that all matches one another? PM's welcome if I will need a service to do this.

(I attempted to search this specific ID prompt via aspkin and can't figure out whether this ID prompt is the same as the "selfie ID" or any other current verification.

Yes,I have seen this screen recently,you have to enter all the data to start listing.
but why does Ebay hardcode Illinois on your screen,do you live in Illinois?
It said match with your govt issue ID,so how does it work with a stealth account?

you don't need any services , just use your real details , you try to add bogus details you will be suspended , probably not immediately

Not selfie request, looks like just regular seller onboarding.

If the soft credit check comes back bad you might get an ID request after first sale

It’s just a random state I selected after manually deleting the stealth info so I could avoid posting it in the screenshot.

That’s what I’m not so sure on- the account info and address that is defaulted on that page is stealth info- my govt issued ID, not so much…. A member below your comment said I need to use legit info as stealth will result in a ban. So I guess I’ll try legit info and cross my fingers. :FF:

Good to know. So with this system, do people who have multiple accounts or switch to new account use the same legit info? Can legit info be re-used, or used at all if it’s been used on a suspended account? Thanks!
