Creating an LTD or LLC or SOLE TRADER account ebay?

Hello everyone !

I have several questions. Currently I live in France and I sell on ebay.fr with an account in my name. I would like to diversify my income by having a second account. Is it possible to create a 2nd FR account in my name with the same ID? Knowing that everything else will be different, will it create a connection? Secondly, I would like to sell on ebay.uk or ebay.com.

Which is most appropriate? Is it better to create an LLC by selling in the name of the LLC, or an LTD by selling in the name of the LTD? Or is it possible to create a sole trader with a business name? You advise me what is the simplest and most affordable with a low cost.

Thank you in advance for your answers !

you can open more accounts in your name

with other countries you can sell using your french accounts , ebay do not want non residents so LTD/LLC would be useless

For French accounts, if I create another account with my same name and the same identity document, they will not create a link between the accounts? This is precisely what I want to avoid, because I do not want to lose my active account.

To sell on ebay.uk or ebay.com I will use a VPN, and I will have a dedicated postal address as well as a US or UK telephone number, so for ebay I will not be a non-resident

all accounts in the same name can be found if needed

you will be non resident as ebay check company details and do a credit check on director

Yes in the case of a restriction, but can I create a second account with my same identity document? I specify that the active account was validated with the same identity document as my first restricted account, so I deduce that ebay does not automatically link just based on the name + identity document.

For credit, I have just inquired, indeed this would pose a problem, but apparently for an LLC in the United States it is more flexible, and there is no credit check of the director's history. Is this true?

ebay are not that concerned about multiple accounts if the previous suspensions were not for serious violations like fraud

in USA you would need a local bank account which is hard to get for non residents and tax numbers , I am not sure which ones tough as I do not have US accounts

No, my first account was restricted following several unresolved disputes, so I may create another FR account

There is the option of Revolut Bank. And the tax number I have to request through the IRS.

So I'm going to drop the LTD

Dealing with the IRS...your account will be based in USA and not FR?

tax numbers , incorporations are not a problem in the US for non residents. the problems begin when verification starts

and another area of problems is the banking system , revolut is a 2nd class account , you do not have any guarantee it will be working as it is abused a lot. those who want to have stable US ebay accounts need to use local banks that are only available to residents

You can have a US bank account if you are willing to show up at a local branch with proper ID.

In fact, I want the most economical solution. There is the solution of registering as a sole trader too, what do you think? But does eBay validate the free virtual addresses that UK Postbox offers?

Concerning the bank account in the USA, I found MERCURY, RELAY and CHASE which offers solutions for non-residents.

However since my goal is to have at least 2 other non-French accounts. Because as a micro business, I am taxed in France on turnover. So I'm losing too much money. This is why I want to choose the Sole trader, LTD or LLC option.

Thank you in advance for your feedback

I saw that it is entirely possible to create an LLC as a non-resident, and to request a tax number with the IRS by fax or email.

I would do everything from my resident country which is France

I cant recall where I read this but if a foreigner is selling on US soil (Ebay.com is considered US cyber soil),he has to pay income tax?or at least file income tax return.
Can anyone confirm this?
Also some countries are strict in enforcing rules that you report any off shore bank accounts.,eg USA

Yes absolutely, with an LLC in the USA, I would have to declare my income by filling out a form. But I will only be taxed in my country of residence, that's the whole advantage. I can no longer stand being taxed on turnover.

if name and DOB are identical there is no point to make other details different , except for bank account
