| The reasoning is, of course that ebay have done this to a) boost it's coffers b) to placate sellers who share your opinion that private sellers who sell mainly tat, or only lightly sell, are a massive threat to the livelihood of business sellers. Ebay deserve to make some profit of course, but not operating as a tax avoiding, ruthless corporate ripping the nation of billuons. A smaller flat fee would be fairer for all. Perhaps private sellers could sell say 100 items a month free of charge then pay fees on further sales?
You remind me a bit of the Daily Mail reader, blaming immigrants for coming over, or people languishing on benefits, or those on the bottom rung of society desperate to make ends meet selling a few item,but these are mainly the symptoms of corporation greed, globalisation, and corrupt governments. |
