USPS reversing suspensions but now charging $32
 

Did you guys see USPS reversed their suspension of ALL parcels from China and Hong Kong, but now ALL parcels regardless of size will have a duty of a min $32.71 ?

Some Chinese sellers use Fed Exp.
Fed Exp has its own brokers to clear customs for you,usually a listing of arrivals will reach the broker who is stationed by the airport in advance and forms are already filled out,all they do is take your shipments thru customs,then turn over to the Fed Exp driver

Trump reinstated the law last Friday but that is only because there is no structure in place for customs to tax every package coming from China. It would have caused mass delays and tons of issues.

This will be something that does get passed at some point so it's best to plan now if you have suppliers in China. You can send it to a neighboring country then ship to USA, or if the package declaration is under $250 you can prepay the fee which prevents more potential for customs inspection as it should pass customs as already paid, no need to pay, and they won't hold the package.

For now it doesn't matter. But I do expect some time in the next two years this is officially passed for good.

Trump has been talking abut this in his first term.
and circumvent Chinese shipments routed to Mexico and then to USA.
Many Chinese sellers get good discount from Fed Exp CHINA,so this could be an alternative to USPS.
Some of the merchandise you seek to buy in CHina are already in your country,go to your local wholesale districts,it may not cost you too much more than bringing them in yourself.

My gut tells me the Chinese are far ahead of him on this. They have massive margins on their goods. It would have to be an insane duty to cause a major jolt in their operations. They'll just cargo ship products to US warehouses just like Temu does.

Or they'll just smuggle it in via DHL haha
