Why doesn't ebay allow me to use Paypal credit?

My view is that her problem is not Ebay but her Paypal account,so guest checkout with the same Paypal account would not work.
She has GBP1K CREDIT with her Paypal account,that could be her credit limit ,use it to make purchases.

Valid point - could be that the pp is acturally restricted so the credit is useless but OP is not aware of this yet...
