I have read this on the forum before, but never seen a direct thread for it.
Does anyone here have experience with this, and managing (1) account north $15k+ sales monthly without issues, or did you get more security checks?
My current account I have kept around $8k-12k sales monthly, at most $14k, and do not plan on passing $15k if I do, it will be in 2026.

Haha, I wouldn't know, I'm doing good to bring in $200 a week on egay, sales have almost dropped to zero. Etsy is blowing egay out of the water currently...

you can check their documentation about merchant thresholds , it is rules of visa and mastercard to force additional verification for each merchant moving to a higher threshold

OP is in USA,not UK | if they receive payments with visa and mastercard on their own or through marketplaces they are a merchant. there is no way around this as all processors have agreements with credit card companies

You are actually the one I thought of when I made this post because I've seen you mention it before.

You are actually the one I thought of when I made this post because I've seen you mention it before. | I do not have accounts doing 15K monthly as this is way too much to run on one account but thresholds exist , with quantity of annual transactions for sure , with turnover most likely

$15k/month is $500 a day, this is not a big deal for a brick and mortar retail store, say a restaurant or even fast food.or a supermarket.
I just came back from shopping, one supermarket has 2 lb and up live lobster in tank, selling for $9.99/lb,someone bought 4.

One month, $60k. I would never do that now. Now I look back at that and realize how reckless I was. Even 2021 I was pushing $40k a month, and then wondered why I faced issues.
On 01/01/2018 out of the blue I got a suspension, which was manual review. I fixed it, but still. If they were doing that back then, with all the new tech out now, it would be so easy to pin point certain sellers like me for risk assessments.
Ever since I have kept my sales within $8-$12k per month, eBay has been a pleasure to sell on again.
Currently I have sold 750 items this year to date, smooth sailing so far.

I couldn't picture putting that many eggs into one basket, especially with eBay.

This account is definitely an anomaly, it was about 1-2 months of selling used crap I was trying to get rid of (gym clothes, hats, etc) then Sep/Oct it started selling $500 items right off the bat and in somewhat high volumes. Knock on wood it keeps up

Zero requests on the account for me. I have remained extremely disciplined with tracking my inventory because I sell on various markets, to prevent INRC. Since 2020, pretty much all my accounts got suspended because of this.
Honestly feels so good to have an account almost a year of activity. Have had to start, and stop so many times. But, all that taught me so many things. I feel like I know eBay much more than most people who I talk to on the phone, so I rarely call.
