promoted listings feature
 

what happened to the promoted listings? I remember when sellers would go to list items they could promote it. there were 2 different promotion options.

I just made a new personal account and they sent me an email offering me to use promoted listings.
As in it became unlocked immediately.
The more advanced CPC version though I don't know yet.

I think you have to have a certain amount of history before you're allowed to promote. Maybe also need sales. Ebay doesn't want brand new sellers to promote because it would more than likely lead to bad experiences.

At least, I imagine that's why they do it.

I use solid process I outlined in another thread, and eBay sends me a notice to use promoted listings usually within a few days of creation.

Yes but there is nothing regarding promoted listings. He just shows his account creation. Which is such a waste of money to get new laptop.

I got a new laptop ($130 on Temu) only after the acc was alrdy created and alrdy got a listing up and they did the auto deposit and withdraw. Otherwise it was made with a $30 smartphone thru the eBay app. Could also keep selling with just the smartphone, I just prefer desktop. I made first sales and buys on there before gettn laptop. But I wanted a new laptop anyway to run a Poshmark account on with browser extension/bot.

I got promoted listing and 50k limit immediately, and that was my personal acc creation process. So.... Maybe it has to do with how accounts are made, thus you could crosscheck with my creation process there.

Sorry tho if that's not helpful. How old is the account you're using?

If its a new account then it won't appear btw you registered as a private or business seller?

I also get promoted listings right away but it is system paused as soon as I list my first item.

hm I just sold and delivered my first item for $80, and once it got delivered and they left me a good review, I sold it again. Both sales were on promotion.

Did you attach a credit card and valid banking detail?

For credit card I got a new # on it thru requesting a new one with my bank. Then I went into the billing address of my credit card and changed it to match my registered address on eBay. I read they do check for this match. VCCs sometimes don't return any address, or they can tell it's a VCC, so I didn't use that.

And the bank account I read they now do an auto deposit/withdraw to check it, and so I made the bank account in the registered name of the eBay account I'm using (my brother's). So when eBay withdrew their deposit back, they can match the bank acc with any of the registered details.

I didn't spoof or conceal any prints, I just went solid as if I am legit another person who found eBay browsing and signed up. Other details were in that other thread. Hoping it works out. I'll update in a month.

It has nothing to do with you bank. When you list you first item , they arent checking your bank. My first listings always shows as promoted and then it is system paused after 1 minute
