Private sales in Germany
 

I'm curious about how much we can sell privately in Germany. Does anyone have any information on this? Some say that even selling 2-3 unused items would normally qualify you as commercial, but others say that up to 9,000-10,000 euros is fine.

ebay will report all your sales to tax after about 2000 per year

if it were UK I would tell you no one f***ng cares

but in germany I would not be surprised if they pursue you later if you do more than 2K

There is not a single category actually, I want to sell products from some suppliers in Germany, making a small profit.

Yes, I'm curious about this too, because normally in Germany, if you sell 2-3 products, it becomes commercial and you're told you have to establish a company, but in practice, it seems like they don't care up to a certain amount. A friend of mine sold 1500 products last year and made a turnover of 5600 euros, but nothing happened.

If your selling in just DE then its a very high limit

Sales to other EU countries is a 10k limit then you need to register for VAT

Just bare in mind these are the legal limits and eBay themselves can request things earlier

Yes, but I'm curious about the legal situation in Germany. My status in Germany doesn't allow me to establish a company, so I'd like to sell personally, up to the permitted amount. However, everyone has different opinions on this.
