MC011. Whats funny is, I can still sell on it. I can even list new items, LOL --- but it's officially MC011ed so that'll inevitably stop

Idc Im still gonna sell on it and just accept the delay in payouts, its a good account and I can afford that wait

February but only started really selling in May

Yeah man I also have a bunch of MC011 restricted accounts that I can still list, edit and sell. I have one account that was restricted for over a year now and I am still selling on it. These idiots sent me MC011 twice now on that account. I swear they are a bunch of morons, restricting and suspending good sellers like myself who pose NO risk to eBay at all. Their entire risk management team needs to be fired.

Are you getting payouts on it? Because Im not. Ill probably close it out in the next few weeks, im just taking time to migrate sales from this account to my others. I know any sales I make here won't hit my accounts for a few months due to the restriction, but Im okay w that since I dont need these funds asap and I can wait on the payout long as Im making sales.

Wbu?

You've been around a while , I'd trust your judgement.

Everything has been volatile the last 2 months. And that's not just selling platforms.

No I am not getting payouts. Once you are restricted, payouts are also restricted. If your account is in good standing then you will be able to revise , list , sell etc .. But dont think that just because it is "soft restriction" it means you will be reinstated for sure after you provide them with your invoices. I have around 100k on hold across a few accounts now which sucks.

New accounts selling electronics makes Ebay nervous !
Did they ask you for invoice?

Sure. I only ask because back in the day, MC011 was no “soft restriction”. MC011 meant you couldn’t sell, period, until they reinstated you. Now it seems it’s more of a “soft” restriction whereby you can still sell, you just can’t receive payouts until you correct the restriction (if possible, ofc. 99% of my MC011s don’t get reinstated, but a few have)

What’s your plan w the account? Keep selling on it til you have some other accounts to transfer the workload to? And at that point shut these accounts down and wait for the payout to hit you?

100k is a lot, but it always feels really sweet when that delayed massive MC011 payout hits your bank a few months later.

Yes, I dont think I'll provide it. In the restriction email they mentioned that my account was linked to some older suspended accounts (they even listed the accounts), so no point for me to even bother. Just using it for some extra sales right now

I will say, apparently ebay has some 'new methods' for linking accounts that they previously did not rely on (which I was able to discern from the restriction email). Seems the game is always changing with them... from what I gather, ebay is actually pretty adept at linking accounts in the MP era. They either choose to ignore these links, or they dont act on them until a manual review triggers some back office action. But its very easy for them to do so if they want to.

So the people that are doing amazon at some of the highest level told me that AI has really wrecked them. It's hard.

I imagine eBay is kinda similar.

So were the accounts linked actually yours?

You can limit your sales. I've never seen issues until it exceeds $5,000 in one day. The only two times I have, it always triggered a manual review, and one of the agents in 2018 from Trust & Safety told me as such. That was 7 years ago though.

This is selling a bunch of stuff, not one item or anything, it just adds up.

They were mine, yes

They then proceeded to list a few accounts (including the very first account I ever lost in 2017 and the most recent one which was a few weeks ago) and then added the language "plus several more accounts". Which I found pretty amusing, because "several" is quite the understatement lol

Hmmmmm....... Did you separate those accounts completely?
Like 1 laptop per account, dedicated IP at least?

And I'm pretty sure it's their AI doing the damages

So if I understand this correctly, you can sell on a MC011 restricted account you just have to wait for 3 months to cash out the payments?

Yep. Well, not so far as 1 laptop per account. But the rest was pretty textbook.

I mean theyre linking my account from 2016 on my Windows w/e (diff address) to my latest account on my 2025 MacBook. Those accounts havent touched in any way whatsoever + there's nearly a 10 year gap btw them. Point is, they still got linked

But it's all good. I think the best advice is still to follow protocol as closely as possible, and fly under the radar as possible. If you dont stand out, youre g2g

Ive had other MC011s in the past year, IIRC those all had their listings ended so not sure why this account is different (or if its a new protocol for them).

As far as 3 months, sorta. If ebay is still following traditional protocol, it would be mores 90 days from the time you got a hard limit. I would have to respond declining their request for documentation or trigger a full suspension for that time limit to start, I think

But if I keep selling for 3 months and my account status hasn't changed then prob no. I still wouldn't receive payouts until some hard restriction was imposed and/or I fail to meet their reinstatement requirements

Re: mc999 fears (Holiday Season)

It does sound like eBay may be using a slightly different protocol on this account. From what I know, the 90-day period usually starts only after a hard limit or after declining their documentation request.

If the account keeps selling normally for 3 months without any new restrictions, then most likely the payout hold won’t lift on its own it usually requires a hard action or meeting their reinstatement steps.

Very interesting indeed. Could this be a new ebay tactic or just an anomaly? Hopefully if the MC011 isn't lifted we can still sell and just wait for the funds. Please keep us posted. Thanks

NO most mc011 account you can not create any listing anumore. only in some rare cases where you can still list then yes. but you have to stop selling for 60 days in order to get the payout. and once you get the payout you can start selling again and then wait for 60 days again.
